Do you know that they also sell mains like avocado pasta?
Here's the Avocado & Bacon Carbobara penne with a poached egg~ Break the yolk to release a rivulet of warm, silky yolk into the pasta making it silky finish.
From Dumpling Cafe at Thomson Plaza. S$13 usual but used a Fave deal for S$21.80 to get 2 mains and 2 drinks.
These god damn chicken breast are tender. Putting shame to my cooking skills and my choice to only cook chicken thighs.

Requested for Eggs Benedict ... without the smoked salmon or chicken ... and was really happy with the ad-hoc request and was given extra avocado.
As you can see from the photo that it was prepared to perfection, served on toasted multigrain slices.
Upon cutting the eggs in the middle the soft yolk flowed out slowly ... that puts a smile to your face. 😄
A great way to start your day ... with this simple meal over a cuppa long black coffee ...
Had the Dumpling Platter ($13) with the Original dipping sauce that was really tasty. The filling was not bad and the dumpling skin had a slight sweet taste.
Mala Chicken Breast with Multigrain Rice ($11) Soft and tender chicken breast but the Mala sauce was rather mild, not spicy or numbing at all. Love the mushrooms and sauce at the side of the rice, made it very flavourful!
On top of their signature dumplings, my parents and I also got ourselves a breakfast set each ($5.90-$10.90) which consists of a drink and any 2 of the following (depending on the combination offered): eggs ben, porridge, overnight oats, toasts, sandwiches, and vege.
The porridge came with mixed grains and smoked duck, making it a really hearty and comforting dish. The eggs ben was pretty decent too - poached egg that flows over smoked chicken and crusty bread, topped with hollandaise that taste like mentaiko sauce HAHA
Overall, this cafe is recommended if you're seeking something simple and not overly expensive while still having some elements of fun (:
Dumplings Cafe is one of the best East-meets-West cafe I've ever been to, with an industrial chic interior design and an interesting menu comprising of their signature handmade dumplings and fusion dishes.
The dumplings platter ($13) is a good choice if you want to sample all 5 of their flavours: pork with shrimp (white), pork with veg (yellow), mala chicken (orange), beef with cabbage (purple), and vegetables (green). Unfortunately, their fillings were a little bland, but this can be balanced out with a dash of vinegar and their homemade chilli paste. The skin also had a perfect thickness and elasticity which I love.
