The ambience was homely, cozy and very friendly waiter. Really like the whole atmosphere. Traditional fish and chips was my dinner and enjoyed thoroughly. My wife ordered the oxtail beef Stew and it was a huge portion that I had to eat 1/3 of it. Overall good experience and food. Recommend for sure. 👍
I went for a 230 gm Beef Tenderloin with a price tag of SGD 30.90. The restaurant was a bit poorly lit which is evident from the photo and when the dish was served I initially feared that they burned the steak too much.
But in reality, the steak was pretty nice, I asked for medium rare and it was just that, juicy within and slightly hard on the crust. It was served with mashed potato which was great and some salad which was ordinary.
While I feel the portion of beef could have been a bit bigger (that's the Indian in me) I am convinced that they should make the sides a bit more filling. I really don't want to eat in 2 hrs after having dinner.
Overall, pretty decent steak, won't make you full in the end, service somewhat slow and nothing to speak about, which makes the 10% service charge a bit undeserved. But a good steak makes u forget small issues.
Will I return? Maybe, but I have a feeling there are better options which are more value for money. But once in a while, I won't mind this one either.
Our initial plan was to have the old-school Western food but it's wasn't open. So we dropped into this restaurant along the way.
We thought it's a new restaurant but we were surprised it has been here for 10 years.
This is baby's choice - Waffle with Broaster Chicken with maple syrup and cream sauce (SGD17.90). As this is a daily set meal, it comes with FREE FLOW soup of the day, garlic bread and drinks.
To our surprise, their soup of the day (Clam Chowder for today) and garlic bread is really nice! Garlic bread is served warmly toasted. So delicious that we took 2 rounds of soup and garlic bread.
Shortly, the main was served. It was good! Chicken was nicely fried, and waffle was done freshly.
Hidden away in a quiet neighbourhood within Seletar Hills, this plain dark looking restaurant was a surprise find. I only tried 2 items. Ribs and the pasta. Go for the pasta! The chardonnay cream sauce was surprised me and the chicken thigh was well-seasoned. Perhaps my original expectations were low but IMHO, pasta is worth coming back for. Ribs is so-so. I rather go Jerry's if in the vicinity. Probably a good lunch place for those working nearby, set lunches, ample seats. Parking requires some luck
It's really big! But would be better if it's a little more tender.
