Affordable and delicious chicken pot within PLQ's food court. Comes in 3 different sizes and you can customise by adding extra ingredients (highly recommend to add extra stuff). Normal pot comes with chicken, some veggies (think celery, onion and green peppers).
The Wanton in Spicy Sauce 红油抄手 ($5.50 for 8) is really good as well. The pork filling is wrapped in thin wanton skin and doused in a spicy and vinegary sauce - so appetising!
The Chong Qing Noodles 重庆小面 ($4) from Divine Chicken Pot reminds me of a less peanutty version of their Dan Dan Noodles. Notwithstanding that I opted for 小辣 (i.e. lowest level of spiciness), the combination of minced meat, chilli, spring onion and chopped peanut is still as fragrant and delicious as ever. As per all their noodles, the portion is very big which is great value-for-money👍🏻
The Dan Dan Noodles ($5.50) definitely packs a punch - the sauce is not just peanutty but spicy and numbing as well (I chose medium spicy level). The combination of fragrant minced meat, chopped peanuts and al dente noodles coated in a rich sauce is nothing short of satisfying!
The Sour and Spicy Shredded Chicken ($4) is quite an addictive appetiser as it is refreshing, fragrant and savoury. A great match with the spicy noodles!
The Braised Pork Rib Noodles ($6.50) and Braised Pork Intestines Noodles ($6.50) is quite a decent bowl of noodles packed with spice - I opted for 中辣 (medium spicy) and it was spicy but not overbearing. I felt that the flavour of the soup can be a little more robust to give it more oomph, but nonetheless it’s still not bad. The pork ribs are tender and the pork intestines have a good texture, albeit a slightly porky aftertaste.
