Tom Yum Pasta Vongole

$19.50 Β· 10 Reviews

Pasta was cooked al dente with a very generous serving of clams for only $19++ (before Burpple discount). Tom Yum flavour wasn't very strong, with only a mild tinge of spiciness and sourness. Interesting combination for folks with lower spice tolerance levels πŸ˜‹. My only issue with the dish was that the amount of noodles wasn't enough to fill my tummy. πŸ˜”

This little gem at Telok Kurau is an ideal place for furballs. Most will do al fresco dining. We were there cuz of 1-1 deals and realised that we were the only tables without a dog. The servers are young and friendly, serving the dogs with water too. Must try their Nutella shake, not too sweet and comes with a nice Nutella bottle. For tea, you can choose 3 types of blends yourself. For food, we had 4 pasta and 1 bread for 5 pax at $81.80. Their pasta was good! Pictured here is Tom Yum Vongole with generous serving of clams at the right level of spiciness. Seated outside al fresco style is a great way to watch the world go by on a lazy Sunday morning. Will be back, this time with our furkid.

Not the most accessible location without a car, but I love this cafe bc it’s chill and pets friendly! Pictured is their π’π©π’πœπ² 𝐦𝐒𝐧𝐝𝐲’𝐬 𝐜𝐑𝐒𝐜𝐀𝐞𝐧 (~π’π†πƒπŸπŸ—.πŸ“πŸŽ++) pasta that was filled with chicken breasts (so awesome for that protein need) with just a slight kick of spice. It kinda reminds me of a tom yum flavour though not exactly it, but anyway tastes great. Pasta is al dente as well which I love. Would love to try the other pastas here 🀀

Ate one bite and not surprised why Mindy always chooses this.

Requested for extra sauce and it was perfect for my tastebuds, spice was a great kick (with extra red pepper flakes), pasta was slightly over al dente (just how I like it) and chicken breast wasn’t tough or dry. Seasoning was great, could taste the garlic flavour.

The taste is pretty similar to their Tom yum pasta, just with an Asian spice and garlic flavour instead of the Thai Tom yum flavour.

A bit on the pricy side as portion wasn’t the biggest ($19.80 for the pasta) but very worth it with burpple beyond. Portion is just enough for a (not growing) girl’s stomach.

PS: this was our return visit after stumbling upon this hidden gem yesterday!

@thegardenslug is on #BurppleBeyond now and this 1-for-1 Pasta & Drink combo is my jam! If it’s one thing they do right, it’s their non-traditional takes on pasta dishes. I’ve always loved their Tom Yum Vongole; perfectly al dente pasta tossed in a slick Vongole sauce perfumed with Thai aromatics like lemongrass and kafir lime leaves.

Nutella lovers, their Nutella drink is frothy, rich and super satisfying without being too sweet.

Not as sour as expected for tom yum, but the pasta was nice and firm and very generous with the clams.

Delicious comfort food! Just as what the title says, strong tom yum with the right amount of spicyness, fresh clams & al dente pasta. ($19.50)

To note: huge portion

The food is hearty and good, and they love animals β€” there hardly is a better place for East-side pet owners to hang out at than at this longstanding Telok Kurau cafe. The attentive staff are known to treat pets to a refreshing bowl of water upon arrival. On top of that, there are several pet-related shops along the stretch β€” perfect for stocking up on treats and essentials. The menu of comfort classics sees the likes of their popular Tom Yum Pasta Vongole ($19.50) and Signature Cowboy Burger ($25, named after the resident cat, Cowboy), along with a few surprising additions. Check out the Roti Johnson ($25), which does a cheeseburger in the style of a roti John, complete with chilli eggs and lots of cheese.

Always nice to know old haunts are capable of delivering still.

The salty pasta soaked in a fragrant, oceanic and richly-spiced bath drawn in the clear tom yum soup tradition, whilst elsewhere the numerous sweet cherry tomatoes blasted with the youthful vigour of those throbbing explosives in Bomberman games. 4/5
