Came here for the burnt cheese cake after seeing raving reviews on social media. We had the two face burnt cheese cake and it was indeed awesome! We also had the kopi susu (chinese style latte) which was something different but a double shot will be good too bad the staff doesn’t know what that mean. The place is a bit cramp and narrow not very comfortable to hang around for long. They do have some other bakeries up for grab and free wifi. Will certainly come back for the burnt cheese cake but probably to go.
Their Kopi Susu is where local meets contemporary. Traditional coffee beans are freshly ground and brewed using an espresso machine; and instead of condensed milk, typical milk is added instead. The coffee retained the familiar aroma of a Nanyang coffee while flavour wise is less mellow and robust, which is comparative to a latte.

Needless to introduce, Kopi Su Su, as the name suggest, is the traditional Kopi, but using an espresso machine to produce the coffee and coffee art drawn with fresh milk, an affordable alternative to a cafe latte, awesome can!
As for the bean, I find it a little hard (not as fluffy and moist as I expected), and the red bean (tau-sah) is little too dry and sweet, can’t find a balance, I think their sor-hei is still better...

Sor Hei 梳起 is really a surprise, they heated it up for me and I like the crispy outer layers with the warm moist chocolate filling, this combi, just yum!
With much expectation, the Chocolate Dirty Bread and Matcha Dirty Bread are quite disappointed...just croissant with chocolate coating and chocolate powder, as for the matcha one, I find it too sweet, not sure what about the hype, given the price, I think I won’t buy again...
As for the Kopi Susu, they use fresh milk and present it like a cup of latte, if you specifically wanted it to be sweet, they will use condensed milk...I like the coffee and it’s just like a cheaper version of latte, why not right?

Dense and dry layers of sponge (which felt like how scouring pads would taste) made my mouth cry out for some moisture—I fortunately found some relief in their tasty Kopi Susu ($2.80). The heavy dusting of cocoa powder would probably trick your mind into believing that it has a rich chocolate flavour (it doesn’t), but the chocolate ganache frosting and filling didn’t do much to justify that. They certainly have other fine items you should try, but this was abysmal. I blame myself though—

I liked how they offer to heat up the breads upon order.
Their signature Sor Hei ($3.60) was a delight! Danish pastry that had a crisp layer while remaining fluffy and soft inside, with a bit of sweetness from the chocolate chips.
I’m quite over the whole matcha/ salted egg phase and here we’ve got a combination of the two - but the Green Egg Bun ($ 2.80) was very enjoyable! The bun was also soft and fluffy, so it’s pretty comforting to have it piping hot while the matcha salted egg is oozy - not too sweet with a hint of bitterness.
Caramel croissant ($3) - flaky, buttery croissants with caramel fillings that wasn’t too sweet, but personally felt the beautifully glazed layer on top was too thick, sweet and annoyingly sticky. Overall, I like it enough to order it again but will probably just munching too much of the caramelised layer.
They also offer toasts set ($5) - which we got the kaya toast, comes with two sous vide eggs and a choice of drink. Go for their Kopi Susu!

ACAMASEATS & GTK💮: The Pastry is Soft & chewy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Bits of melted chocolate chips are swirled within the layers of buttery pastry, the base is a tad oily but overall it’s pretty darn satisfying. Pair it with their Kopi Susu. 🤤

Limited to 15 - 30 pieces daily, so head down early if you want to try their Signature Pastry. Named after the Cantonese name Ma Jie (traditional domestic helpers) paying homage to them and the place. 🔖
