Truffle Honey French Toast (Brunch)

With good music, a nice set-up, and good lighting, Bridge will certainly put you in the best of mood. I would definitely recommend having your weekend brunch at least once here. Their Truffle Honey French Toast with Ice-cream ($18+) had a really interesting palette - a neat mix of sweet & savory. There's a choice of coconut, matcha with azuki beans or chocolate chip for the ice-cream!

What I would classify fine dining- like brunch? Which means a managed expectation of the definition of adequate portion wise. Also fine dining ,to me, means either a mishmash of or perfect synchronization of diverse flavors.
I wouldn't say the French toast was a flawless synchro yet it wasn't a random mishmash either... I liked the idea of truffle honey but the sour cream and unidentifiable ice cream felt slightly out of place. Overall worth a try and a good effort nonetheless!

Pretty, but not a fan.

Could really taste the truffle in every bite of french toast

4.5 munchies: The Truffle Honey Toast that looks almost too pretty to be eaten certainly did not fail to deliver taste- and aesthetic-wise. I loved the marriage of sweet and savoury from the cinnamon sugar, Italian truffle-infused honey, and salted milk gelato from Hokkaido. The sourness from the mixed berry topping and vanilla sour cream also worked the sweet savoury perfectly. 5 munchies if only the gelato had a stronger milk taste!

Salted milk gelato specially imported from Okinawa has no preservative and thus, melting super fast, but it is addictive in a unique way. Not to mention their equally interesting truffle honey though the truffle was rather mild. In general, the sweet savoury combination somehow stands out and succeeds in this dish.

Actually I'm not very sorry.

Pftt. ANYWAY, really craving for everything sweet and spongy right now, and I immediately thought of this Truffle Honey Toast ($18) from @bridge.sg. Eggy French toasts with berries, vanilla sour cream, cinnamon and the extremely mild tasting truffle honey. I just want eggy French toasts now!

An interesting sweet savoury concept that works really well together. The sweetness from the honey and cinnamon sugar rolling with hints of truffle fragrant. Paired with salted milk ice cream and vanilla sour cream. But I definitely could just eat it on its own. Made from exquisite truffle honey that isn't available in Singapore, Bridge have to specially import it in for this creation!

Like for real? Truffle in honey toast? Yes, that's what they did and it tastes magnificent. With a hint of the truffle aroma coupled with the sweetness of the honey, this toast is definitely something refreshing and out of the norm. Served with berries, vanilla sour cream, cinnamon sugar and ice cream, you gotta fill your tummy with this. This was a tasting hosted by @bridge.sg and many thanks to @geekyelephant for the invite.

So many at the table were absolutely in love with this beautiful truffle honey toast. Put together with ingredients from all over the world (the truffle honey is sourced from Italy and the salted milk ice cream is imported from Japan), it goes to show how much effort has been put into the creation of this dessert. I loved the marriage of flavours in this one- it's a perfect blend of sweet and savory. However, I'd have loved a fluffier bread to go along, but then again, I'm just being picky.
