Duck Roasted with Angelica Herb
Quarter Size - $17.90

Enjoying chinese cuisines during CNY is always recommended. My first time visiting Dian Xiao Er and definitely gotta try out their famous herbal duck! Lovely tender duck meat with flavourful herbal taste infused within. Surprising the skin was still crispy! Such a treat during CNY

Went to Dian Xiao Er Marina Square before 12 noon and was given early bird discount, a 15% discount. Condition was to finish the meal within an hour. As usual, the signature roasted duck, cooked with their ten wonder herbs, was awesome - crispy crunchy skin and juicy flavourful meat. The deep-fried kai lan with floss was unique and interesting. It’s crispy and tasty with a little bitter aftertaste. The fresh floss provided a little sweetness that complemented the dish very well. The soy pudding was fresh and silky smooth. Not too sweet. The collagen jelly with black sugar was refreshing and cooling. Service staff were attentive and efficient. Comfortable seating and cozy ambience.

Their ducks are nice. Other food also not bad. Staff are friendly too.

Thanks to DXE for the takeaway promo during this Phase 2 HA. Ordered the Angelica Herb Roasted Duck (whole), Vinegar Pork Trotter (large), and stir fried Venison. The sauces were cooked/boiled using authentic herbs and the meat was fabulous!

My favourite dish at dian xiao er, can never go wrong

Great roast duck which was soft, complemented with the flavourful sauce.
No herbal taste and could be less salty.

Price inclusive of GST and Service Charge: $10.48

Dian Xiao Er has a super deal set lunch for 2 pax at $32.80++ available at specified outlets!* 11:30am-2:30pm.

Such a simple and classic dish. Love having this with rice.

Not featured in photo, but I also chose the Stir-fried baby kailan with salted fish and lime.

The stir fried baby kailan is done with lime juice. Cooked under the strong fire, salted fish bits and red chilli slices are added to the veggies. Then, the baby kailan is tossed with some lime juice and other seasonings which gives the dish a tinge of contrasting sourish lime taste which makes it an interesting and refreshing dish.

If duck is not your thing this pork belly will blow your mind. It will remind you of how your grandma use to make them

Well this is very very fresh and the broccoli and mushrooms were cooked perfectly!

This awesome tender on the inside crispy on the outside duck is just out of this world. A must try for everyone

Salted egg lotus root with pumkin was pretty bomb, as well as the fried fish skin. I like how their menu shows the amount of calories in each dish btw.

The serving size was so generous that we thought we ate an entire duck. The fragrant and rich herbal sauce was amazing (if herbs are your thing). Its meat was also very tender, not gamey, dry or chewy at all. I had this pre-race and I think it must have nourished me well during the race 😂.

It's crispy lotus root and pumpkin in salted egg yolk. Sinfully delicious!

Lotus root and pumpkin with salted egg yolk and with a hint of spiciness! I love pumpkin a lot! And the lotus was thinly sliced and fried till crispy! Very interesting dish!

Soft and tender and yet the meat is able to hold it's shape without falling apart.

It revitalizes ancestral energy, relieves mental stress and promotes longevity. People who are prone to nervousness will benefit from its calming effect. Personally, I prefer the Roasted Duck with Angelica Herb though. But not everyone can take the smell of the angelica herb (dang gui). Which believes to nourish blood, promote blood circulation and removes blood stagnation, treat blood deficiencies and habitual constipation.
