Think no further than Da Paolo Gastronomia’s festive treats for takeaway and delivery this year as the restaurant has curated a lineup of roasts and sweets for the friends and family. This year’s highlights include the savoury Double-stuffed Deboned Roast Turkey ($298, 3.5kg for 10-12 pax), Deboned Roast Chicken ($118, 2kg for 4-6 pax) and celebratory sweets such as the Gingerbread House ($130), Stacked Gingerbread Christmas Tree ($79), Signature Tiramisu Party Bowl ($158) and Panettones (from $65) that are made by artisanal bakers in Italy. Besides the ready-to-eat foods, there are also the gourmet gift hampers from the Cheese & Wine Gift Basket ($128) to Truffle Hamper ($145) and Christmas Breakfast Hamper ($159).

The star of this year’s festive roasts is the Double-stuffed Deboned Roast Turkey that comes with two different stuffings, one side contains the Cotechino, an Italian spiced sausage mix made with pork meat, rind, and lard, and encased with another layer of minced Cumberland pork sausage, while the other side contains a moreish mix of French chestnuts, fresh mushrooms, and braised leeks. The turkey is good for 10 to 12 pax and is served with roasted potatoes, carrots, and a homemade apple gravy to go with it. To complement the meats, the restaurant has put together accompaniments such as Brussel Sprouts, Turnips & Cranberry Salad ($55), Couscous Salad ($39), Tortellini Tuna Salad ($45) and an indulging Truffle Mac & Cheese ($78).

These offerings can be ordered via the link below from 3 November to 26 December 2021 and they are available for self-collection from any Da Paolo Gastronomia outlet or delivery services that are happening from 6 November to 31 December 2021. Enjoy an early bird promotion of 20% off festive roasts if you order from 3 to 3 November 2021.

The newest Da Paolo Gastronomia opens in Great World recently and this Tuscany inspired trattoria aims to bring the Italian dining culture to the diners with its extensive array of offerings from freshly made food, grab & go takeaways, gelato, bakes, grocery and imported fine foods from Europe. What’s unique about this new outlet is that they have specially curated menus for each time of the day, from a weekday menu to weekend and dinner, and each contains foods from their virtual concepts, Panini Italiani, Pasta Bar and Pizza Bar.

Starting off with some hearty breakfast brunch items, we had the Double Baked Almond Croissant ($4.90) direct from their bakery counter, the Scrambled Eggs on Toast ($11) finished with parmigiano reggiano, chives and cracked black pepper, and Homemade Meatballs ($14) made with Australian beef and served in a sauce of Roma and San Marzano tomatoes. Perhaps my favourite of the day, the Spaghettone Carbonara Calabrese ($25) pays homage to the classic carbonara with a slight twist of using nduja (Calabrian spicy no case pork salami) instead of guanciale followed by the Seafood Spaghetti Cartoccio ($29) that has chock full of seafood such as slipper lobster, scallops, squid and mussels cooked in a lobster bisque. Last but no least, from the Pizza Bar comes the Rucola e Credo ($28) topped with 24-month aged Parma ham, mozzarella and locally grown rocket leaves.

Recommended dish : the pastry ofc 🥐🥯🥖🥨

All of the food on the grab and go is really satisfying, filled with a lot like lasagna, risotto, even cakes, yogurt, granola and so on.

Main were overpriced for me..

Bolognese Pasta, pasta’s price is between $16 to $20. Portion is big, has special taste on bolognese sauce (a little more acidic taste, it’s felt fresh) , what I absolutely like is that, the minced pork they gave is a lot! The meat is tender with a bit of parmesan taste.

Mushroom Pasta on the other hand, it’s quite disappointing pasta was slightly undercooked, and the oil that supposed to cover all, is just can’t. But I like the mushroom taste.

Don't order their Egg Breakfast, better get you another meal.

Salmon Lasagna is one of their grab and go, I think it has nothing special in the overall taste, I cannot taste the cheese eventhough they put it on overall top of the lasagna, and it felt fishy also, however they gave the salmon quite generous.

Plain Croissant is huge and definitely worth it, crispy, it has the sweet taste, but not too much.

Chocolate Croissant, the appearance is also super duper huge, the pastry is really swell well, overall taste is just like a regular ‘bread’ not crispy.

The Dark Chocolate Cronut, on the other hand, is a satisfaction. Inside got so much chocolate filling. The sweetness they deliver is just from the chocolate, however given the name is ‘dark’ I expect so much than just a regular milk chocolate.

Not flavorful at all, and it gets very jelat after a few mouths. I've to add pepper, chili flakes & tobacco sauce to make it a bit more flavorful. Is just plain carbo and cheese, with no any other ingredients to it (S$11.90).

Salted egg yolk croissant ($6.90)
Available at @DaPaoloGroup in @GreatWorldCitySG
Quite difficult to slice through the croissant. The pastry was quite doughy. The filling tasted nice, which reminded one of the mooncake's salted egg yolk. |
