My last visit here was almost 2 years ago and this is still a lovely dessert I'll recommend here. The brownie was chewy and moist at the same time with a layer of red velvet mixed with cheese atop the brownie. The only let down is probably the drop in the quality of vanilla bean ice cream, but the brownie is still just as awesome.

Throwback to my very first piccolo. I always drink that ever since.

The Short Review

Price Range: $15-$20

Nearest MRT: Buona Vista

Instagrammability: Moderate -
Chalk wall, but lighting's obscured by adorning bottles.

Food:
1) Coca-Cola Beef Stew [$16.00]
Acquired taste, but it sort of works for me.
Promised mash, but I only got a smidge. Would have loved the stew to be thicker, probably with more mash?
The beef is incredibly tender though. How wonderfully corrosive Coke is.

2) Eggs & Toast [$9.00]
Elected Ciabatta over Sourdough/Wholemeal and
Poached Eggs over Scrambled/Sunny.
Mediocre at best.

3) Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownie [$10.00]
In theory, it sounds like a great dessert.
And it is.
It's a brownie that swirls up into a cheesecake, and its red velvet component lends an interesting colour to the cake, though any red velvet taste is overwhelmed by the cheesecake brownie. A generous scoop of vanilla bean ice-cream sits atop, and every red stain it collects as it melds together with the brownie is quite satisfying.
My only gripe is the price. For $6 or less, I'd totally recommend the pilgrimage for it. Prices are nett.

Come Here: Again.

I hate overly salty food, but I quite like this one. Unhealthy processed meat? Whatever. I love spam. And this finger-sized food goes well with the mustard sauce. If only the mustard is stronger, but it's definitely a perfect finger food to share with friends!

It has been quite some time since I last came here for lunch, and a pleasant surprise with the changes in their menu. Ordered their special of the day, creamy mushroom pasta with prawn kebab. Taste wise the pasta was not too bad as it was not too creamy and the mushroom flavor was just right, however, the dish was slightly too oily. The prawn kebab was fresh and juicy, it deserves its own pasta dish instead of the mismatch with the mushroom pasta.

A proper steak sandwich, made with well-aged meat, a fresh crusty roll and all the right condiments, is one of the most glorious things you can eat with your hands.
