Bacon, Cheese, Mushroom & Bread. Monday blues away!
An impromptu lunch at East 8, checking out their latest lunch in the city menu (12pm-3pm) featuring the Bacon, Egg and Avocado Ciabatta toast sandwich with chips.
If you have never heard, tried or found your way to East 8 yet, I really don't know how to help you. Perhaps taking a look at East 8 Facebook or Instagram might help. Hope that their drool-worthy photos will entice you, because that was what just happened to me. Happy TGIF!
Mid-day indulgence at the Red Baron cafe-bar savouring the exotic Dukkah Spiced Avocado Pita made with mashed guacamole, feta cheese and an Egyptian blend of roasted nuts, seeds and spices. I think I got a hit of freshness from the mint if I tasted correctly.
I am about to taste test SIX ultimate artisan sandwiches crafted with a combination of six carefully selected ingredients by Joe & Dough.
Damien and his team is rather bold to come up with this idea of complementing herbed chicken, honey baked ham, coral lettuce, mozzarella cheese, sliced black olives and jalapeno cream cheese on the parmesan cheese ciabatta.
They are available at $6 a pop if you like to enjoy the Ultimate sandwich before the 5th April 2015. Bon Appetit!
A proper steak sandwich, made with well-aged meat, a fresh crusty roll and all the right condiments, is one of the most glorious things you can eat with your hands.
It makes me happy down to my toes, with its porky richness tossed with just enough sauce to tickle my taste buds. Top it with some coleslaw, even if it gets messy I don't really care.
Carvers & Co. Pop-Up at the CBD at 18 North Canal Road, while their space at East Coast undergoes deconstruction till early November.
You can get speciality coffee as early as 7am and gourmet sandwiches ($9.90) from 11am until 4pm on weekdays. I am going to take a big bite at their signature gammon ham sandwich ($12.90 coffee + sandwich set U.P. $14.90) now. Pre-orders for the festive holidays are available at Carvers & Co.
I love this sandwich because of its taste and texture. Instead of a regular bread, the flaky butter croissant is stuffed with parma ham and gruyere.
The sandwich is served at room temperature, though they do not warm up the bakes upon order, the croissant still remains crusty on its own. It will do more justice if the price can be adjusted lower. I personally find it's rather pricey for such a simple pastry sandwich like this.
Sirloin beef grilled to medium well done, stuffed with grilled onions, marmalata, mustard wholegrain, mayonnaise, tomato and lettuce on golden pumpkin bread.
Toasted Sourdough with truffle egg mayonnaise and lettuce. Upgrade with $3 for a small soup or salad. Sarnies are priced from $6.90 onwards.
