the yam paste was thick with taro chunks 🍠 just that slightly too sweet for me bc i have 0% sugar tastebuds but still an acceptable siew-dai level. liked that they used walnuts instead of gingko nuts! added nuttiness and crunch which complemented the yam filling. the crust however was a little disappointing as it was too crumbly and lacked the buttery fragrance one would expect.
The taro filling is fragrant and yammy, not too sweet and the texture is soft and smooth. I like that these tarts use walnuts instead of ginko nuts because ginko nuts are pretty bland and don't add much flavour while walnuts provide a crunch and a nutty taste.
The crust is SOSO GOOD!! It's like a crumbly cookie and its the kind that just melts in your mouth. One of the best cookie crusts I've ever had. That, coupled with the amazing fillings, makes this the BEST taro tart in SG (to me at least).
Even though it's a little pricey, I'd 100% be getting this again! Too dang good to only have once. If you're a big fan of taro or orh nee, do try it out!
⭐ Rating: 9.5/10 purple walnuts
🤑 worth the price: YES

If you close your eyes you probably can't tell it's matcha bread but it doesn taste different from regular bread. Otherwise the red bean paste was quite decent
The bread is soft and fluffy. Really makes for a good breakfast and the cheese was amazing!! Will recommend anything from this bakery
As always, the bread from this bakery has uneven fillings but they are really very generous. There was a lot of black sesame which made me feel very satisfied!! The bread is soft but the sesame on the bread kept falling apart, making it really messy to eat. They should not put so much sesame on the bread.
$1.20. For the quality of the bread, the price you have to pay for it is definitely a steal. Even though the fillings were uneven, the red bean in the bread was tasty and were in large amounts at some portions of the bread. The bread was soft and fluffy!! Wouldn't mind going for it again but I still prefer C'rius Bake's Matcha Azuki which was sold out at that time.
