I find that this coffee bread is one of the worst that I have tasted, it was too dry and airy inside. Additionally the crust of the coffee was not crispy, which should be the case of a coffee mexico bun. Inside the bun, it was too airy and not enough butter. Moreover, it was really very oily and difficult to eat. Not good and disappointing! Definitely would not eat this bread again
At the atrium of Plaza Singapura, they currently have various food stores selling cheese tart, cheese, hokkaido lavender soft serve etc. I had the salted egg yolk croissant from Antoinette's pop-up store for $7. It was fantastic because the salted egg yolk was not too salty and runny. The croissant itself was crispy even though it was not heated up in the oven again. Extremely aesthetic and nice, definitely worth it!!
I was very disappointed by the service in Breadtalk at their 313 Somerset transit outlet. It was horrible. Because I also bought nacho cheese bun together with it, the thongs that was used for the nacho cheese had some sauce on it and it caused my yam bun to be dirtied with the sauce. Additionally, I feel that the service and bread consistency in BreadTalk does not remain the same throughout all their stores. This means that some bread will taste nice while others do not. My yam bun certainly failed to satisfy me. It was dry, the yam was not sweet and additionally, it taste really bad because there is a lack of moisture in the bread. Disappointing!
Bought this cream cheese bun from Crystal Jade at United Square. I felt that it was not as good compared to other kids of cream cheese bun that other bakeries have such as that of Barcook bakery. The cream cheese filling was not as generous and I felt that there wasn't enough cheese in the bun. It looked like a custard bun initially though. The bread was big and would make a good breakfast, only disappointment was there wasn't enough cheese.
The blueberry bun was special and nice because it felt like there was blueberry jam all over the bread. Also the blueberry was evenly spread around the bread. I find Crystal Jade's bread to be extremely unique and cool because it is not like your normal bakeries whereby the breads are all the same type. Crystal Jade tries to make itself stand out by creating some special breads to differentiate themselves from the rest of the bakeries.
$2.20. Really pricey kind of brioche but I feel that it was rather worth it because not only was it huge, there was lots of sugar coating around the brioche. The pastry was soft and easy to eat. There was a little butter in the center and it was wrapped in a roll. Definitely satisfying and a good sweet treat for breakfast! Really love it very much, except that it was expensive. Also Johan Paris packages their pastries and bread very well, making sure that it does not go out of shape even if you are not eating it immediately.
Bought this from Bun Master at Dhoby Ghaut Xchange and I can safely say that this is one of the best coffee bun that I have tasted. Not only is it crispy, it was huge and filling. The only thing that this bread was lacking was that the butter wasn't evenly spread throughout the whole bun. Tasted like the polo bun and the bread crust was super crispy. Extremely good and recommended! One of the best that I have ever eaten.
$1.30. Very affordable and it is from a small bakery in the Bukit Batok market. The azuki fillings given were generous and it was mildly sweet. Additionally, the crust of the danish pastry was soft and did not feel as though it was too hard. Affordable and nice! It wasn't too oily as well, making it a good breakfast treat!
$1.30 for this bun and it is definitely very worth it. Not only is it nice, it is also rather huge which makes it filling and satisfying. Their fillings are also fantastic because of its generosity and amazing taste. There certainly was lots of butter sugar in this bun and this is one of those better small time bakeries that I have eaten from!
The bread was a little too dry and there wasn't much black sesame fillings inside the bread. The fillings however was moist which definitely made it easier to eat. It was unique in the sense that the bread was shaped like a bowl and definitely stood out to me! However, would not really try this bread again because of the insignificant fillings which did not satisfy me.
This bread has many small chunks of ham and it was very generous in terms of the number of ham given. However, I felt that the ham was a little too salty and it wasn't spread evenly because some parts had too many ham while some parts did not even have ham. Bread was soft and nice! The inside wasn't too dry as in the case of many other breads from other bakeries.
This bread is definitely something very special and unique, it was what I never ever tried before. The bread was soft and nice, there were both white and black sesame seeds. Inside the bread really gave me a surprise! There were black sesame and mochi, I found it a bit difficult to eat because the mochi was very sticky. However, this is a special bread and the black sesame were extremely generous. Love it very much but wouldn't try it again though! Good for first timers.
