The difference between the yusheng here is that since it's a Japanese restaurant, it came with 5 types of sashimi - salmon, tuna, swordfish, yellowtail, yellowjack.

Crispy texture and dipped with their sauce to create the crispy tempura with a soft and fresh prawn on the inside. Have a good day everyone! It's Saturday and definitely going to be a fun day! Have a belly growing experience and stay belly growing everyone!
Here is the Sashimi Yusheng from @choubeisg which starts at ($68). Mixed shredded vegetables blanketed with sliced assorted premium fishes, drizzled with hand-made dressing. So fresh, succulent and yummy! Shiok ah
This was just 1/4 of the actual portion, & my mind was screaming for some rice to go along with it. Definitely one of those times that I didn't mind converting to a vegetarian diet. Itadakimasu 🙏🏻

How good does this Ong Maki look? It's chef's signature sushi roll at Choubei Japanese Restaurant. At $35++, it's jam packed with various types of sashimi and uni depending on the season. There's even crispy fish skin and avocado in the roll for extra flavour and texture. The restaurant is based at Village Hotel Changi, so it's a little bit out of the way, but that also makes it great for the escapades outside of the city.

A reinvention of the agedashi tofu, this is filled with mushroom inside the tofu. This is one of their signature dishes, and my favorite item out of the 5 in the tasting menu.
🔸
Crispy exterior that retains crunch even after soaking in the sweet savoury broth. The surprise is in the middle where you hit all the mushrooms packed inside - more crunch, more juice, more wholesome.

We are not usually a big fan of raw sashimi, but the sashimi here were really fresh, and it melts into your mouth once you placed it in.
Located at Changi Village Hotel,#01-03, it is definitely worth the village if you're a huge fan of sashimi! Thank you @choubeisg for the kind invitation! Remember to hashtag #thegrowingbelly to share your meals with us! Happy Tuesday everyone!
If you like your lo hei with lots of fish then this is the place for you. It's not just the amount of different fishes there are in it, it's also the not too sweet sauce, crunchy bits and mandarin oranges that make this dish a worthwhile trip to go for. Yummy yummy yum yum. Posted by Ah Leong San 2016 February 12.
Very well grilled cheek. Just crisp outside but moist and tasty. Very good. Posted by Ah Leong San 2015 November 29
The stew from this baked dish went very well with rice. Just scoop the whole dish onto a small bowl of rice and the whole meal is complete. Tasty and sweet too. Yum yum. Posted by Ah Leong San 2015 September 6
This is really tasty as the squid and the roe combined well to give it a crunchy and delicious. Posted by Ah Leong San 2015 September 6
A very interesting combination. The cheese is in the mochi and then it's deep fried with tapioca flour. Yummy. Posted by Ah Leong San 2015 August 7.
Very firm and tasty shell fish. A single clam can be eaten two ways - sashimi and cooked. Posted by Ah Leong San 2015 August 7.
The blood clam is not easy to get yet here they have fresh tasty ones. It's crunchy and sweet.
With the right amount of vinegar this salad really put your appetite up for the rest of the meal.
This consists of big prawns, mixed vegetables, anago(salt water eel) and mixed seafood. The tempura is so well fried that it's not oily at all. Yummidelicious!
This is really yummy. Thin crust of bread and crispy too
Taken directly from the fish itself and not commercially processed the taste is naturally sweet. The yoke just burst into your mouth when you crush the roe. Belly delicious.
This salmon is from Japan and this is the season for it. The texture and taste is very different from the salmon commonly available here. It's sweet and firm. Must try to know the difference.
This is a very healthy yet tasty dish. An excellent complement to the rest of the menu.
