I chanced upon Chef's Noodle but did not feel like having a noodle dish, so I thought I could just give their Sliced Pork Mini Pot (S$16.90) a try. Considering my low tolerance towards spicy stuff, I have my reservations towards spicy soup base such as the Champong. Interestingly, I attained that shiokness from enjoying the tasty soup as it also goes well with rice. This simple yet hearty meal made my day for sure.

Instead of the usual suspects, this Korean Toast is filled with Injeolmi (Korean Rice Cake) then microwaved. Finally, it is served with fragrant shaved almonds and a sweet side of black sesame, azuki, ginger azuki or wasabi azuki paste then sprinkled with roasted soy bean flour. Vanilla ice cream is optional.

Because it was microwaved, the resulting toast wasn't crispy but took on a chewier texture, matching the injeolmi filling. The slightly sweet dessert provides a nice change to the more common dessert options like Bingsu, waffles or cakes. This is something I enjoyed every much since I love chewy stuff like Korean rice cakes and mochi. Probably not for those with dislikes chewy stuff.

This Spicy Seafood Noodles is the one for you if you enjoy seafood and spicy soups! Expect a fresh generous medley of big prawns, sliced squid and mussels topped on sliced onions, cabbage and noodles. The noodles were slightly soft for my liking and I'll probably request for harder noodles next time if possible. The Champong broth is spicy, rich yet carries a nice amount of sweetness - the kind of soup that will keep you going for seconds. Portion is huge and will definitely keep you full. Service is warm and friendly!

Located in harbourfront away from the bustling vivocity crowd, chef's noodles wipe up bowls and bowls of korean noodles that are both delicious and affordably priced. The ttoekbokki though not a noodle dish brought vivid memorise of my Seoul trip when I was enjoying this spicy dish in the streets during winter season. The signature guksoo noodles was like the bibimbap of noodles with many different ingredients combining different textures. The beef soup Base was slightly sweet and a good alternative from those we are used too. The cranberry makgeoli is a must try and combines well with the haemul pajeon. Chef's Guksoo ($15.90++) - comforting bowl of savoury-sweet beef broth noodle dish. Noodles were a little too soft. Pork bulgoggi was stewed slowly so it's tender! Opted for set meal which comes with a drink, and side (mandu twigim or buchu saeu twigim, which we opted for the latter. Crispy bits of chives and shrimp fritter that tasted pretty good as a crunch with the bibim guksoo) costs $13.90 without set.

Bulgoggi Bibim Guksoo ($12.90) - beef bulgoggi with dried, q noodles, and gochujang sauce! Spicy, sweet all at once.

Sparkling fire sushi ($6.90) - tender wagyu beef sushi, glazed with bulchobap (sushi?) sauce and flambé on the spot.

Opened by Korean celebrity chef Choi In Sun, I think prices are reasonable for its quality and portion. Will be back for some healthy comforting Korean food!
