Neither the worst nor the best but cheap and average tasting HK pastries located in a food centre. The egg tart was flaky but missing the butter fragrance and taste while the custard was slightly sweet with a smooth texture. The honey roasted char siew pastry was quite ordinary with nothing much to complain about.
Hong Kong Traditional Egg Tart γ$1
Honey Roasted Char Siew Pastry γ$1
This egg tart is $1. It's good value for money. The filling is smooth too. However if you buy it home, it will taste better if you toast it in the grill a bit because it can be abit plain when it has gone soft.
$1 each
The egg pudding was silky smooth.
The crust was a little tasteless I feel

At Chef Hong H.K. Bakery (#01-79), we spotted something interesting and black - Charcoal Crispy Tart for just $1 each. π
The charcoal-infused puff pastry was flaky when we had it warm but not so for those we tabao-ed home. After taking a bite, we were slightly disappointed that there was not much of the eggy and smooth custard in the tart. But for $1, we are not complaining. π
