This must be the epitome of comfort food. You get a generous portion of crispy chicken cutlet and noodles drenched with curry gravy. Weโ€™re more familiar with curry chicken and yellow noodles, and it was our first time trying curry with wanton mee noodles and crispy fried chicken. The curry was flavourful but not too rich or lemak, drinkable and thin enough to coat the noodles. The noodles were light and springy QQ with no alkaline taste which we really enjoyed, literally slurped them up in seconds! The chicken cutlet was delightfully crispy and tasted like red fermented beancurd, a flavour which we personally enjoy. The combination of curry and ๅ—ไนณ was strong and tasty, but it was on the brink of jelat at the end. Definitely comfort food for days when youโ€™re craving it! ๐Ÿคค

We also tried out their wantons because the price was super affordable, and got 5 each expecting them to be on the smaller side but boy were we wrong because these were normal-bigger sized wantons that were meaty! Not outstanding/life changing but decent and def value for money :D
.
Cantonese Delights is definitely worth a try! Especially since the queue moves pretty fast. ๐Ÿ‘ We will be back to explore more of Hong Lim Food Centre and get our ๅคง่ฑ†ๅฐ่ฑ† fix too ๐Ÿ˜›

๐Ÿ’ธ Curry Fried Chicken Cutlet Noodles: $5
...
Finally managed to drop by Hong Lim Food Centre for this famed Curry Fried Chicken Cutlet Noodles on a weekday morning!๐Ÿฅณ Omg this was really good! The thin noodles were springy and delicious when coated in that thick and fragrant curry๐Ÿœ. The Chicken Cutlet was freshly fried on the spot and was really crispy๐Ÿ—! It's a pretty heavy breakfast for us to have in the morning, so we'll probably come closer to the lunch hour the next time. Hopefully they haven't sold out by then๐Ÿฅฒ!!

Since they changed their operating hours to weekdays only, 9.30am to 1.30pm, didn't have much chance to had this anymore. Finally, I dropped by early this week to satisfy my craving.

Joined the 30+ min queue for this popular curry noodles and while it was a value-for-money hearty meal, personally wouldnโ€™t say itโ€™s worth the long wait.

Unique combination of wanton noodles & sweet-style chili with hainanese curry. The thin egg noodles were nicely QQ and soaked up the generous loading of sauce. The curry was a non-spicy and lemak rendition with stronger coconut fragrance (personally would have preferred stronger spice). The deep fried breaded chicken cutlet was tasty on its own and went well with the curry, but unfortunately lacking in crispness.

Queued for more than 45 minutes at this much vaunted stall in Hong Lim Market for their fried chicken cutlet curry noodles ($5) and Wantan Mee ($4).

I like their curry and chicken cutlet but I wish their noodles could be more al dente. It was actually over cooked and soggy. I liked their wantan which were plump and had juicy pork fillings inside but I wished their char siew was more tender and not like tree bark. I like their prices today considering the way inflation is running rampant in Singapore today in spite of what the published statistics say. But their pork lard, although unlimited to customers, were a tad bitter due to over frying.

For those who have been across the border to Malaysia, many will agree their noodles cannot compare. And not worth a 45 mins queue. On a good day, 45 mins would have gotten me across the border.
