Craving for some really good Chinese tea? Well here’s the place where you’ll get your fix. There’s a pretty good variety of oolongs if you’re a fan - the aroma of freshly brewed tea was.... too hard to resist! For such quality tea, it comes at a really incredibly expensive price $7++/serving, as pictured in here. Defo thankful for Burpple beyond that made this worthy!
We got the scarlet robe 大红袍 and daphne odora. Have to say i didnt like the scarlet robe. The daphne odora was nice. The person who introduced it knew her tea well. However, not too sure why, they have stopped dine-ins. They would only allow takeaways even though they allowed us to seat in the store with the takeaway cups. Kinda confusing.
If slow-living weekends are your jam, pencil in a friend for a catchup sesh at this cosy tea bar in Katong Square. This joint specialises in Wuyi rock (oolong) teas that are sourced directly from farms in China's Wuyi Mountains. Get a pot each and go for the fragrant and floral House Orchid Oolong ($8), or the Sparrows Tongue ($7.50) with a rich and unique aftertaste.
