Although described as "pulled pork", the slow roasted meat appeared to be sliced. Terminology quibble aside, the pieces of pork were lean yet juicy and tender. The rest of this Asian salad comprised of cashew nuts, a crunchy assortment of julienned vegetables, some edamame, Vietnamese rice stick noodles (at least that's what I think they are) and fresh herbs; all tossed together in a light honey ginger dressing. Being refreshing and apportioned to be quite filling, I can see myself ordering this when I'm after a healthier lunch.
P.S. Because Broth House is right next door to The Hangar and owned by the same person, you can also order this while seated in the latter. Which is what I did.

Love that the very QQ egg noodles here are handmade by a Sarawakian. As Sarawakians are well known for their "kolo mee", this shouldn't be a surprise. Anyway, the chef at Broth House tosses the noodles in a smidgin of Korean sweetish bean paste and sesame oil, then tops it with several pieces of tender pork shoulder plus a glorious soft-centered egg. He also serves it with a small bowl of tasty beef-based soup. When I had this for lunch today, I chose to spice things up by adding a big dollop of their dried chilli oil condiment, making it even more lip-smackingly good! At $7.90 for such a large portion, I felt I was really getting my money's worth.

The hungry me ordered the Short Ribs Pho on top of the Mexican Chicken Salad right from The Hangar itself. Enjoyed the lightly seasoned broth. The short ribs was a little under-done, so it required a fair bit of chewing. This is definitely great value for money. It's their first day, and I'll definitely return to try the rest of the fantastic looking menu!

Popped into the brand new Broth House for a late lunch today. It's located right next to The Hangar on Arab Street and is owned by the same boss as well. The menu is devoted to a decent range of very tasty-sounding, modernised Asian noodles plus a few side dishes.

I chose the Yellow Crab Curry Noodles which was the most expensive at $12.90 (all the others were comfortably priced below $10) and was very pleased with it. There was an ample amount of freshly-peeled crab as well as pieces of seabass heaped on. And the gravy which managed to strike the perfect slurp-worthy point between curry and broth, was aromatic.

A sharing plate, the Banana Leaf Seabass is described as grilled seabass in fiery Viet and Thai Sambal. The fish within was chunky without losing much of its moisture, while the Sambal made it a tad similar to the Otah (but on the smaller side) with a little more tanginess from lemongrass than usual.

One of the two dry noodles in the menu, the pulled pork in the dish felt more like pork cheeks; not complaining though for they were really generous with the portions and the slices were really tender. Didn't really get the hot Korean chili oil flavour within, but the sweet sauce (which I presumed was the braised sauce) helped in mediating the overall saltiness of the dish and provided flavour for the springy noodles. A good lunch option for office workers in the area who are looking for affordable options that involve a twist on local fare especially at the price of $7.90. Do add the chili sauce at the side that provides a little piquant spiciness to the dish if you are one who can't do without a fiery kick in a bowl of noodles!
