Have not been here for a long while, suddenly craving chicken rice, and so here we are. Our favourite combo.
This is one dish I almost never missed whenever I visit Boon Tong Kee, soft silky tofu with a light flavorful crispy skin (suspect it's crushed Pringles chips) and just the right size to pop into one's mouth. S$9 a serving. Go on, order this with your chicken rice.
I've never been a big fan of chicken rice, can't remember when was the last time I had Boon Tong Kee, just wanted to re-live some memories so here we came. Still good, still reasonably priced, a good local meal. Surprised that they have over 20 staff in such a small restaurant space, prompt and pleasant service.
