Everything was alright except the gong bao Ckn, the Ckn wasnt fresh

The salted fish meat patty itself was 4nett, so no worries it's not overpriced. And it deserves the price, it's very flavourful, good texture, u can taste the salted fish, and there's even an onion bulb for vegetal sweetness. By far the best version I've had from a hawker stall, it's not even close. The other veg were fine too

Overall standard was pretty good, the minced meat was okay, there's an empty sour taste. Braised pork was not up my alley, there's a prominent unpleasant sweetness, tho my bro found it ok. 5bucks braised pork portion pictured, min order 3 bucks

Gan En (感恩) Ban Mian has been my go-to spot when the craving for a good nostalgic bowl of noodles hit. I have been a patron for years now, and I literally grew up eating the noodles from this store. Even after these years, their food still tastes great - the same natural rich broth derived from anchovies, plus loads of spinach and a mix of mushrooms. Even the old school rooster bowls and metal tray stayed the same!

The noodles here are definitely far from ordinary, with a warm taste of home just like a meal cooked by grandma. They have now expanded to 2 stores, one at Yuhua Market & Hawker Centre (block 347) and another at JE346 Eating House (coffee shop). If I am not wrong they are closed on Thursdays and do visit during ordinary lunch or dinner hours as they close really early sometimes.

this bowl of you mian is rather special as it comes with spinach and mushroom instead of the typical vegetables you always see in a bowl of you mian. as a mushroom lover, I am satisfied with the amount of mushroom given.

Although the photo doesn't look appetising, this is one of my recent favourite home made noodles. The mee hoon kueh is really the HAND MADE not factory made. And the mince pork is fresh not frozen! The taste is like what I had in Malaysia. Usually I will add more ingredient so the price is $4. But do take note they have resting & lunch hours. Just go during the usual makan time to avoid disappointment 😂😂 the exact location is actually right beside a cafe call "The Usual Place".
