Cheesy appetiser 🧀

🥩 main dish:

+ The Fiorentina steak was tasty and flavourful with the burnt ends. Good for sharing.
+ The lamb chop tasted like satay…but still good though.

🧀 side dish:

+ The burrata was just okay.
+ Mac and cheese was pretty tasty.
+ Mash potato was a good add on to the steak

Verdict:

To beef!
Good experience, even tho I find the food pretty pricey for what they could offer.

What a lovely steak with a nice crusty sear enveloping the consistently tender and juicy meat at all the right places. It is paired well with the creamy spinach that cuts the taste of the meat. Just overall lovely ambience.

Ps. The fluffy breads with sundried tomatoes starter is amazing too

5/5 for ambience and fiorentina steak. One of the best date night restaurants!

The star of the night has got to be their Florentina, a 900g T-bone charcoal grilled to a thrilling shade of rust and brown and placed on the table for us to worship. It's sliced up neatly and seasoned well - basically quality steak with tension and flavour. On top of the complimentary sauces, we also opt for the black truffle sauce and I love how buttery it was. The truffle was well balanced, nothing too overwhelming to cover the taste of the meat. We also got Brussel Sprouts and Mushrooms to pair with the steak. The brussel sprouts along with the smoked bacon and whole grain mustard was absolutely lovely!

Service here is impeccable, with the staff Iskandar being really thoughtful. He noticed I was cold and asked if I would like a shawl which was really sweet of him. Food wise, while it was good, it wasn't mind blowingly good though it still makes for a nice meal for a fancy occasion.

The Pan Seared Scallops with tomato jam and artichoke was pretty decent too! Fresh, fat scallops sitting upon some mint salsa verde which gave off the slightest herbaceous scent. My only qualm was that the scallops could be a tad softer though.

Started the meal with some Wagyu Steak Tartare, which comes with anchovies, quail egg yolk and fried capers, along with potato chips accompanying it. Gave it a good mix before using the chips as a shovel to scoop some tartare right into my eager mouth. It was a perfect blend of flavours and texture and I don't mind getting seconds for this!

Saw pretty outstanding reviews for this chic Italian restaurant and decided to give their Florentine style steaks a try. Restaurant's decor was right up my alley - the dimly lit, dark wood and leather chairs gives off a classy ambience which sets some expectations for their steak.

While waiting for our food, we munch on the bread served with what tastes like sundried tomato pesto sauce. It was a dollop of punchy loveliness and I tore apart the bread, trying to coat all surfaces with the sauce. Needless to say, it has worked up my appetite.

@bisteccatuscansteakhouse is a prime example of how a steak well done can be reasonably priced at the same time.

For less than $200, you can get their 1.1 kg signature bone-in T-bone or ribeye steak which is perfect for sharing. The Australia F1 steak has a nice balance between the robust beefy flavours and the melt in your mouth marbling. I love that their steaks are consistently charcoal grilled to perfection. There is always a nice thick caramelized surface over their juicy tender and beefy steak.

Make no mis-steak, this is without a doubt the best steakhouse in Singapore, considering their price point and the quality of their meats.

Saw many good reviews on this place and decided to check it out. Absolutely loved how classy the ambiance was! A really good place for dates.

Ordered fresh oysters, Striploin and bruschetta.

The oysters were really tasty - I could eat so many of it! ($48++)

Bruschetta had a really nice smokey taste to it and the cheese was light which complimented it. ($18++)

Definitely returning to this place to try their other dishes!

I was really blown away by how perfect this tasted. The cut, juiciness, richly infused taste and sauces. A must try!

Featuring the 1.1kg Fiorentina — the star of the show 🌟 Medium rare done perfectly!
One of the best steakhouses in Singapore, really a must-try if you love juicy steaks!

Had set lunch here to celebrate my anniversary with my partner. Had almost a half an hour wait between the serving of appetizer and main course.

As a result, the restaurant was closing by the time we were finish the main course. We felt that the waiter - a bespectacled Chinese young man - was very rushed in clearing our main course, serving the dessert and bringing us the bill. I was still three-quarters through my main course when he simply placed the Tiramisu with "Happy Anniversary" written on the table, without saying anything. No congratulations, no "enjoy your anniversary/meal", nothing. My boyfriend had told the restaurant that he wanted to surprise me for the anniversary. Do you honestly think it would've been a surprise when the waiter simply placed that cake on the table and walked away without any word, when I was still halfway through my fries?

So we asked him to serve our other dessert, and he looked obviously confused. He did not even know that we were waiting for another dessert. So if we had forgotten about it, perhaps we wouldn't even get to eat the dessert we ordered?

That young bespectacled Chinese waiter seemed to have placed more attention entertaining his friends at the table beside us. He even asked if they wanted dessert to be served long after he hurriedly placed that Tiramisu on the table and gave us our bill.

Did it need to be so rushed towards the end of our meal, if they hadn't made us wait for half an hour between the appetizer and main course? The rush completely ruined my appetite. I felt so anxious to finish the fries and the dessert because of how hurriedly he served the dessert, cleared the plates and brought us the bill.

The dessert (two scoops of gelato) came in such a miserly portion, the circumference of one scoop was barely more than the size of a 50-cent coin. I had to place my camera one inch away from the ice cream to capture it.

Overall, ambience was good and food was good, but portions were quite small and service was bad (perhaps it was simply that young bespectacled Chinese man). Sad to say that his actions alone may have brought down the entire team, I may never step foot in this restaurant again.

The thick cut of 420 days grain fed F1 kuroge washu bred wagyu with a marble score of 6 from Australia ($198) is a really flavourful and sure to be a crowd pleaser. The 1.1kg steak that is cooked on the bone can easily be shared amongst 2 - 4 people depending on your appetite. This place is one of my favourite steakhouses to go to on special occasions.

Tiramisù: Mascarpone, espresso, fresh berries, chocolate dust - this was easily one of the best tiramisus I’ve ever had in Singapore (my other favorite is Amo’s tiramisu). The mascarpone cheese was so light and flavourful, and the espresso taste was strong enough to suit my palate.

Panna cotta: Pistachio, summer fruit coulis, raspberry sorbet, mint - I must probably sound like I’m going crazy over Bistecca but this pistachio panna cotta was one of the best panna cottas I’ve ever had. The pistachio flavour was authentic and strong, and the panna cotta texture was wonderfully light and smooth! Highly recommend both desserts. Simply amazing meal.

Manzo: 150g tasmanian grass-fed beef striploin, roasted garlic potato puree. We had this as the main course for the executive set lunch and it was amazing. We were completely mind-blown by the quality of the steak served and how tender the meat was; and there was a nice char right on the exterior that gave it a slight crisp. The steak itself without any accompanying sauces was already incredibly tasty, and they provided 4 different types of sauces on the side for us to try out, and all were delightful. I would definitely come back here again, and I have to add that the service here was really personal and attentive too.

One of the starters as part of the executive lunch set (2 courses for $38) - Crudo di Tonno: Yellow fin tuna tartare, black olive, red pepper puree, croutons. We really enjoyed this dish as it tasted so fresh that the tuna was almost sweet, and the red pepper purée lightly doused over the tuna pieces was immensely flavourful.

The best (and perhaps only?) place in Singapore for devouring bistecca fiorentina. However, for other beef cuts (eg. tomahawk, rib eye), the pieces served at the American houses (Wolfgang, Cut, even Morton’s) tend to be more flavourful. Delicious slides include purée, frites, and spinach. Too bad they don’t do bone marrow dishes anymore. Impressive list of Italian wines. Smooth service even if not extremely proactive.m
