We had the Signature Halibut where the fish was battered and served with freshly sliced potato crips or premium skin-on fries. Their batter is light and even though it was deep-fried with a crispy exterior, the fish remains juicy and moist internally. The Halibut meat was sweet and I love the natural density of the meat.
Fish was definitely not fresh and was almost mushy. Garlic bread and butter corn were really quite okay, and their fries were well seasoned. Nevertheless, something is terribly wrong when the sides are the only redeeming factor of the dish.
Wait time was not too bad, but much slower than expected from a place that wasn't that full. Staff will not suggest cheaper combinations even if you're buying the same thing. If you're craving fried fish, their nearby competitor Fish & Co. would not only be friendlier on your pocket, but also on your tastebuds.
Alternatively, head down to their Punggol branch for a better atmosphere. It will make the experience less of a waste of money and calories.
So this is an interesting twist to your typical chips, aka fries that u expect with this dish. The chips or crisps are fried perfectly and tasted so good. Not oily too. Fish was a little tad ordinary but for this price, one can't really complain. An assortment of free flowing condiments to go with the food. Definitely be back for more!
First time I tried this was 2 years ago and I didn’t have a good impression cause their batter was too thick and they only served potato chips instead of fries.
Right now as they revamped the menu with fries it’s great. Their fries were thickly sliced and it was like eating potatoes themselves.
Their improved batter was thin, just enough to coast the whole fish. Skin remained crispy and still moist.
Really enjoyed the improved version so much better. Definitely my go to for fish and chips.

Highly recommend the Halibut + XO Sauce
