I’m pretty serious about food, and I decided to create a Burpple account just to review this place. That should tell you all you need to know.
What you need to come here for is the Jumbo Thali, which, well, just look at the photo. For $30 you get 20 dishes and gravies of all kinds, a basket full of naan, and even a dosai on the side. There’s so much food I couldn’t fit it into one picture. On top of the usual suspects - paneer, dhal, chili chutney etc. - you even get bonus dishes such as char kway teow and some of the best vegetarian chicken rice I’ve ever tasted. One catch: you have to order in advance but the owner assures us that even walk-ins can sample this magnificent dish if they can wait one hour while sipping on his (very good) teh tarik.
This Jumbo Thali allegedly feeds 2 people but you’ll need a monster appetite - I could see it easily feeding 3 or 4. I hear there is even a Jumbo JUMBO version that actually /does/ feed 4 but alas I am only a man.
