Wow haha. This is how dabao looks. There's one big sauce for the la mian and one big soup. The ytf items were quite standard except there's no pork. If pork in your ytf means a lot, this is not the place for you.
An open air concept coffee shop at a super affordable hawker centre price! The dishes are all fresh and I opted for the "la mian" noodles at an additional price of $1.20, it's very chewy and blended very well with the yong taufu.
Lots of choices - fresh vegetables, stuffed items, tofu, mushrooms, deep fried stuffs and etc. means we often pile up too much into our bowls. You can have choice of clear or tom yam soup, laksa, ampang or hakka gravy, or dry.
You can also have your choice of several types of noodles, white rice, bee hoon and la mian from $0.50 to $1.20. Noodles is usually put separately into another bowl dribbled with shallot oil which is really nice.
Side dishes of fried snacks like Crispy Fried Chicken Wings (MUST TRY) and You Tiao stuffed with Sotong Paste are also available.
Soya bean based soup which you can actually taste. I like it that they boil the soya bean again before they include them into the yong tau foo. Small detail but the beans come out soft and goes nicely with the other ingredients.
Next best thing, they fry the ingredients. Not so healthy but just enjoy it. Maybe common now to find stalls frying yong tau foo ingredients but wasn't so a few years back.
Finally, they have a good variety of ingredients and types of yong tau foo.
Spicy Sour and Savoury..... that should sum up the taste...
Of coz its yummmmssss....
Good food at a good price.
