A very simple looking dessert yet it’s so different from the version we have back in Singapore. Chef added dried longan that enhances the dish. Totally better and so very different. Super yummy!
A platter of spring rolls, lor bak, cucur udang & acar awak. An almost complete dish of Nyonya items. This is a good way to try out different Perenakan dishes. Chef Gaik Lean cooks it very well. Yummy!
We felt cheated that our chendol was so bad on the first day that most of us ordered it here to satisfy that craving. They served it with ice cubes. We forgave them on the account that flavour and texture wise, it was on point. Not like the heavily franchised one. Here the chendol was silky and the gula Melaka fragrant and the coconut milk just the way it should be. The pengat was good too. Overall, really happy with this find and highly recommend Auntie Gaik Lean’s for a Penang nyonya meal.
Here it’s steamed and there are generous chunks of fish inside. The rempah here was good and that’s the key to a good otah and the freshest fish, of course. So yummy. Again polished off in seconds
When you least expect it, this curry dish came and swept us off our feet. Really good, possibly one of the best I’ve had.
When I see kerabu pucuk paku on the menu, I will make a beeline for it. Well, this surpassed all expectations and everyone gave it their stamp of approval. So sedap!
