This is seriously amazeballs! Loved the silky egg custard that had an umami-rich flavour that made me think of it as a delicate prawn noodle stock-infused steamed egg. Am I gushing? #yummy #foodporn #burpple

This piece of deceivingly plain salt-water eel was simmered in a fragrant, clear broth until cooked. It was then topped onto freshly hand-moulded Japanese sushi rice and served warm.
Deliciously soft to the bite without a tinge of fishy taste like that of Unagi, the Anago is our new love and we miss it for sure!
At Ashino, everything is as authentic as it gets in Japan. Fresh supplies including water and fruits are imported regularly. Thanks to Aurelia and SM for lifting our tastebuds to extravaganza heaven!
