Everyone working in CBD should be very familiar with this fish soup stall at Raffles Place. Considering it has limited seats at the main shop, thankfully they have opened a few outlets around the area and they are all air-conditioned.

Really enjoy the tasty soup with tender fish and cabbage. Of course cannot miss out their signature chilli sauce and fried garlic.

Flavour packed fish soup since 1988, oft frequented by office workers in the Central Business District (CBD).
.
Large generous portions, with or without milk, served with a unique fried garlic garnish on the side that lends enticing savoury salty spice flavour.
.
The duo of fresh deboned mackerel fish, natural and fried, are chunky and tender, with lovely sweet savoury flavour.
.
The soup, filled with crunchy cabbage and juicy tomato, carries mild sweet salty savoury vegetal flavour. Warm and comforting, great paired with white rice, and a spicy chili dipping sauce.

- Fish Soup (add veg)🍲

All-time fav, best on a rainy day, still good even on a sunny day.

Guess the fish was batang fish, tender (not mushy) and sweet (not legit sweet but is fresh seafood kind of sweet, u know what I mean).

The fried garlic and chilli cannot be missed~ The chilli is spicy and refreshing at the same time cos of the lime, yum!

Super long queue during lunch hr, be early to avoid the crowd!

Damage: $7

This store always draw a long lunch crowd and I finally had a chance to taste it.

The fried fish served was in huge chunks and there were cabbage, tomato and tofu inside.
I loved the super crispy garlic !!!

Additional 0.50 rice

Quite possibly the most expensive fish soup I’ve had in CBD thus far, this is the franchise of the famed Arcade Fish Soup at Raffles. What was interesting about the fish soup here is that there’s pickled vegetables and tofu in the soup, with chopped fried garlic on the side which really amplify the flavours of pretty much everything. I opt for the version with milk and the soup turned out to have a rather distinct milk taste instead of the fish; and the fish can be improved too. Everything considered, I wouldn’t be back so soon.

Arcade Fish Soup with their cool branding has also opened an outlet at One Marina. For $6.50, you can get either their sliced fish, fried or mixed with a carb. Eating this brings back fond memories of working in the cbd last time.

It's soup is a tad more savoury with the generous addition of 咸菜 preserved vegetables. It also includes more ingredients compared to the usual fish soup - with egg tofu & tomato. I especially enjoyed their fresh and thick sliced fish, while finding their fried fish more fried than fish. Still, their broth feels especially home cooked and nutritious. Plus the shiokness of the Chili!

To note that there are two queues, one to order and one to collect!
