I love chocolate and hazelnut! I am a sucker for anything chocolate, hazelnut and that mixture of cake and crunchy layer of praline/feuilletine/biscuit.
Le Royale was dense and moist. I think it’s not too sweet because it contains 64% dark chocolate mousse. Hence, it’s suitably sweet. There’s supposedly dark rum in it but I can’t exactly taste it.
I like it that it’s soft, rich and very chocolatey. And I really love the layers of contrast between the mousse, genoise and feuilletine! However, I think it would be better if it’s slightly moister.
Gonna miss their cake so much!
This dainty dessert consists of an inner layer of cassis strawberry jelly and strawberry creameux, lying on a layer of finger sponge and nestled within a white chocolate violet flower mousse.
It tastes pretty light with a slight tinge of sourness. A pity that the almond crumble was too soft hence lacking the crunchy texture.
I am a sucker for dessert, especially dessert that’s not only pleasing to the palate, but also a feast for the eyes. @antoinette_sg is like a dessert heaven. It’s sad to hear that they are ceasing operations soon.
Singaporean Chef Pang Kok Keong of @antoinette_sg and @hakkapang has an assortment of Hakka specialties for takeaway and delivery now. This Thunder Tea Rice or 擂茶饭 included.
I have always been a fan of this healthy Hakka dish so it’s lovely to try Chef Pang’s version which features brown rice topped with more than just the usual. He also throws on unconventional ingredients such as crisp wing beans and soft-cooked kidney beans - the latter adds a hint of sweetness to the dish which works nicely.
The fresh herb paste which is more flavourful then others I’ve had, is packed separately so you just have to pour in hot water before eating.
At $7 per portion, I think this makes for a healthy, tasty and value-for-money meal. Ideal to send as a #mytreatsg to family or friends too.
To order this (minimum order is 5 portions), or his other delicacies like Traditional Abacus Seeds (this is very good as well!), Hakka Mee Tai Mak, Leek Kueh, Yam Cake and Muah Chee, please Whatsapp: 9021 7507.
Gotten 3 at one go... All are super pretty ones, cost wise is above $10 each... Good service, nice place, taste wise we prefer the cutie cloud... New on their menu...
The dish is served with savoury cabbage braised in chicken stock, pomme puree, and an umami-laden mustard sauce made from Dijon and Pommery mustard for a hint of spice. .

Quite enjoyed their rendition of the classical strawberry shortcake, especially the cream layer was so light flavourful and not cloying! But for $80 a cake, thank goodness this was free 😂😌
Soufflé pancakes elsewhere would all be indignant to share their name with this soggy excuse of a pancake. You can tell from the appearance that it wasn't well cooked, and true enough, it tasted like bread that's been left in liquid for an hour. Utterly gross.
Came with high expectations but was unfortunately disappointed. The fragrance of the pandan was pleasant but the texture of the soufflé pancake was mushy and undercooked. Not the light and fluffy pancake that I expected.
At first taste the linguine tasted like prawn mee (without the soup) because its flavor was so rich and almost creamy (?). Thought it was going to be very jelat but it wasn’t!! The lobster was done up really nicely too, cooked firmly and was sufficiently meaty and juicy!!
Served with a sunny side up and honey for a sweet-savoury combination, which surprisingly works well.

The rich creaminess of the crimson-dyed cheesecake is cut with the light sweet-saltiness of the salted caramel crème chantilly, finished off grandly with showers of chocolate crumble for a delightfully balanced bite.

Good for impressing the fam, look to this elegant French-inspired tea room for coffee, tea and dessert. Tea fanatics would love Kyoto ($9) for its hojicha-flavoured mousse combined with orange confit layered over an Okinawa black sugar sponge layer. For something lighter, Chloe ($9) is a great option— think yuzu cremeux, white chocolate vanilla mousse on top of a light sponge cake base. If you're feeling adventurous, try their Earl Grey Bubble Tea ($9) for tea-infused sponge cake topped with salted cream cheese, fresh mango cubes and black sugar pearls.

This Trés Berries souffle pancake from @Antoinette_SG is delicious!
Served with vanilla crème Chantilly, strawberries, blueberries, sea salt butter and drizzled with honey maple syrup. Have a sweet Friyay everyone!
$9 for this.
The white chocolate is the right amount of sweetness and well balanced out by the raspberry which gives a refreshing taste to it.
Smooth and well made.
Beautifully made but too much chocolate for my liking. Supposed to have Caramel but didn't taste any. Very smooth though!
With vanilla custard draped over the pancakes, accompanied by a thin layer of carefully torched caramel and pieces of strawberries on the side. .

The sponge-light and quiveringly wobbly mounds of pancake pleasure took well to being positively smothered by the warm, creamy mushroom sauce and surrenderingly soft omelette. 4/5
This was a hosted meal, courtesy of Antoinette.
The dessert reveals a layer of mousse enriched with a toasty nutty aroma of the hojicha flavour, a thin layer of orange confit for a subtle tangy-sweetness. This is then topped with a soft finger sponge made with Okinawa black sugar, complete with black sugar crème chantilly and a sleek of glaze finish. However, we felt that the orange confit was a mismatch to the richness of hojicha.

Named the Forestiere, the soft souffle pancakes here are stacked with creamy mushroom sauce and omelette. A noteworthy brunch or breakfast dish!
Quite an intense souffle pancakes war and we have to say this locally inspired flavour from @Antointte_SG won us over!
