[Halal] For a cut that is regarded as more premium by convention, this comes at a very affordable price. If you’re like me – you know little to nothing about the various types of steaks – you should know that New York Strip ($19.90) is a beef cut from the short loin of the cow, which is nearer to the back. Less work is done by the muscle there, so you can expect it to be more tender.

It’s seasoned pretty well, it has a good crust with diamond char marks, and most importantly, it has a pretty deep and defined beefy-umami flavour – these add to the make-up of something promising. This comes with a couple of sides of your choice; I got the baked potato and mac ’n’ cheese, both of which felt dispensable as opposed to vital. I’m not asserting that it’s the best quality out there, but given the money you’re paying for this, it honestly is worth it. 😲 (7.6/10)
