(Iced - $8) it's not nice ah but then not much choice for me to order except their coffee. The powder was not really dissolved well so need to stir as it's quite not bitter enough so got milky and sweet aftertaste.

Coffee place near new workplace - was a good cuppa and more importantly… much.needed.sustenance 🌝

Anchorpoint Shopping Centre has seen quite a change ever since its revamp — this also means new F&B tenants moving into the premises of the mall such as that of Anagram that had recently opened its doors in the said mall. Taking over part of the former premises of the Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe outlet at Anchorpoint Shopping Centre, Anagram is a new hole-in-the-wall cafe that serves up specialty coffee — the space does come with some form of a Japanese vibes with the giant hanging paper lantern at the back of the space alongside the Japanese window cut-outs on some of its walls, though the use of stone-esque elements and wooden furnishing and fittings provides an earthy and peaceful vibe that is close to nature. The space is also cleverly segmented into two distinct areas; the al-fresco area is separated from the air conditioned area and carries some sort of a patio-like vibe, though still sheltered from the elements from the mall’s architecture. With its setup being closer to that of a Japanese kissaten (i.e. Japanese-style tearoom that is also a coffee shop), there are no food items being served up at Anagram — the only items listed on the menu are beverages; apart from specialty coffee in both espresso-based format and filter brew, patrons can also opt for Chocolate or Chai for those who are looking for non-coffee beverage options here.

Going for the White, it is noted that the White here is brewed using a blend of beans from Colombian
, Uganda and Ethiopia and the White is pretty well-pulled — we liked how the cuppa is smooth and creamy with good balance of milk to coffee; the milk being frothed just about right, while the cuppa came with a medium body; roasty with an earthy flavour profile. The latte art also comes reasonably well-executed as well; the tulip being pretty distinct though we have definitely seen more defined ones — still a good attempt considering how we have visited other new spots around that do not execute them as well when they have first opened their doors. Overall, a good cuppa that works as a great perk-me-up considering the intensity of the coffee here.

Anagram may not have much to offer considering how it is more of a spot for serious coffee lovers — more of a coffeehouse that is all about coffee since there are no food items being served here. That being said, coffee is well-executed here; the prices of the beverages range around $5 to $8 — the only exception being the Espresso and Piccolo at $4 and $4.50 respectively. With a pretty aesthetic and great coffee, Anagram seems to be off a very good start — one that would likely be able to attract avid cafehoppers considering its unique design language in its interior that would definitely be a catch for instagrammable photos in various aesthetics; probably a spot to visit before it gets all too buzzy as it gets uncovered gradually on social media.
