My favourite was the Superior Broth with Vermicelli as the broth was really rich & creamy, boasting of the natural sweetness of the crustacean! 💯 J65's Famous Thermidor was a close contender - incredibly tasty when topped with creamy mushroom & cheese! 💕
How about some goreng pisang for a sweet ending ?
Crisp outside and gooey inside - with a side of creamy vanilla ice cream .
Hot and cold - what could be more gratifying ?

What if I told you- this was part of a buffet and you could have limitless amounts ?
Smooth piquant yam , sticky , gooey goodness .
Ah hoi’s pineapple fried rice is my all time favourite - it used to be served in a pineapple which made it even more appealing .
Nonetheless still very tasty and done much better than most Thai eateries I have tried .
Generous with pineapples, moist with a good wok hei and rice has a nice bite .
You can order this as many times and stuff yourself silly with their weekend dinner buffet .
Ah Hoi remains one of my favourite places for a bi frills Chinese fare.
If the food doesn’t wow you , the breezy resort like ambience and the excellent service will .
Sharing with you one of the best kept secrets 🤣-
The baby lobsters which are really not baby in size at all. Sweet , firm flesh with a genuine salted egg sauce .
Part of our buffet dinner which faired very high on my “ value for money “ scale although this dish could only be ordered once .

I grew up eating fish prepared this way at dragon city restaurant ( at orchid inn hotel ) - most wouldn’t have heard of this place because it has since been torn down to make way for the current raffles club .
So pleased to find these crisp soy beans again .
It is so fragrant , crisp and addictive - once you start , you cannot stop i assure your .
The fish is perfectly steamed , supremely fresh , smooth and has the texture of cod fish - it is so good - I really felt so touched eating it because so much care has gone into the details of this fish .
From the freshness of the fish to the superior soy sauce used and the crisp cucumber condiments and the chopped spring onions and Chili for that little zing .
This made Valentine’s Day extra extra special for me .
