This old school bak kut teh can found in this very nostalgic coffee shop at the corner along Balestier Road. Open early morning till late night.
For an individual portion, it comes with just 3 pieces of pork meat. And the meat was too soft and lean for me. But the peppery soup still excellent and you can ask for refill.
A bowl of fatty ribs with rice at $7. I prefer white pepper soup so this stall is like my family preferred stall for 3 decades plus.
I feedback once the portions greatly reduced couple years back and now there's improvement.
Sometimes I will have 1 more bowl of kidney. Humble stall which feels at home
A BKT stall located in a very old school coffeeshop that serves BKT with a distinct peppery soup. They also offer a variety of dishes such as pig trotter, intestines, liver, steamed fish, salted vegetables and free soup refill. The pork ribs was not as tender but their pig trotter was nice and it helps to compensate a little. Salted vegs were quite crunchy too! 》$6.50 + $6 Pig Trotter + $4 Veg + $0.50 Rice
Another old school kopitiam. The refillable soup here is peppery, pork tastes fresh with a good bite!
Have been getting my BKT fix lately at this unassuming shop just before the famous BTK (Boon Tong Kee) chicken rice. Their pepper soup is rich and "pure" (doesn't have that artificially sweetened or herbal taste). Tried their braised intestine (粉腸) and found it so succulent and tasty!
