mala noodles ($5)
dumplings ($4 for 15)
A hole in the wall noodle joint, A9 noodle serves up multiple variations of their handmade noodles and dumplings as well. Noodles were decent, prices were very affordable and I can see why people come here for no frills meals!
I got the Beef Savoury Noodle ($5) which came with quite a substantial amount of handmade noodles. They were lightly coated with some flavoured oil, garlic and onions. The noodles were slightly springy and had loads of flavour from the sauce. Do add a dash of their chilli oil but be warned, it's pretty spicy! The heat and the umami of the chilli oil does elevate the flavours of the noodles. Beef slices were okay, nothing much to shout out about.
Their Chive Pork Dumplings were incredibly cheap at just $4 for 15. Pretty decent, the skin wasn't too thick and the meat to skin ratio was substantial.
Not a place I would travel all the way for, but I can see myself coming here for lunch if I work around the area. A good simple meal! Please note that it's a one man show so you probably need to wait abit for your food. The uncle was pretty nice though!
($4) It taste like japan clear and refreshing broth soup and also their dumpling skin was a bit of thickness tbh. My friend and I waited our food at least for 45 mins as only one person do payment and also making food at same time.
a9 noodle dumpling is tucked away in a small corner of the second floor of fortune centre. even though it was a but tough to find on the first visit, will definitely be making a trip back.
super amazing price for so 15 dumplings! free flow sauces of vinegar, ginger and their chilli oil (i liked this!) they also offer various noodle dishes (that ill try next time)
not lots of seating avail as it seems to be popular for the office crowd 🔥 uncle was super nice and friendly loved everything abt this place.
- zhajiangmian 炸酱面 ($5)
- tea egg x2 ($1)
- soya milk x2 ($2)
ok i took this pic after i mixed it up but before i did i thought the boss was being a cheapskate bc the amount of 料 was sooo little… then i mixed and tried it and omg i was wrong it was so little but the noodles were so flavourful 😋
tea eggs were also decent, not much 茶叶蛋 taste but they were cooked just right!
my 3rd time back here and it’s def worth it for the price and quality and the AIRCON
- dandanmian 担担面
- dumplings (both cabbage and chives)
- meatball noodles
- not sure of the noodles on the big bowl lol
can’t remember the prices but they’re all def under $10!
my fav was def the dandanmian, the noodles were springy and chewy and the 料 was so flavourful 🤤 also stole some meatballs and they were SO GOOD, if they had a la carte meatballs i would def buy 10 of it. not rlly a dumplings person but the dumplings were rlly good!
a must buy if i pass by bugis 🐛
