Good news for EASTIES... because @ahothideout has opened their 3rd and LARGEST outlet at Kinex Mall (near paya lebar MRT)!
They serve one of the best mala in Singapore! I travelled all the way to NTU to have it last year! π
What is so special about their malaxiangguo here is that they fry their ingredients!! The top ingredients that you HAVE to add for your malaxiangguo is the potato, lotus root, dory fish, and scrambled egg!! The potato and lotus root are sliced till super thin, almost like chips!! The scrambled egg you will need to remember to add on the order when ordering from the self-ordering kiosk! Another thing that I like about this place is that all the ingredients are charged at the same price! You need not worry about taking more/less meat vs veg, just choose what you love! For non-mala eaters, you can also pick the oriental stir fry option!
Besides malaxiangguo, they also have the soupy version here! Choose from mala collagen soup, collagen soup, or tomato collagen soup! Featured here is the tomato collagen soup!
Top favourite items for me is the potato and lotus root slices, as well as the scrambled egg!
Get the peanut and coriander from the counter to add on to your malaxiangguo to make it more fragrant!
Grand opening is on 1 December! Check them out!

9/10. 1 point for being pricey. ntu students that eat this every other day must be rich or something.
sometimes eat here can see monkeys or north hill cats 10/10

Scrambled eggs in your mala?! Found ourselves near NTU for our pottery class, so we popped by @ahothideout for the ma la xiang guo we kept seeing on Instagram π The wait was really quite long though, so itβs probably not something you can get for a quick meal.

Whatβs cool about their mlxg is the cook on the ingredients - eggs are scrambled, while the fish, luncheon meat, lotus and potato are fried. It is more pricey, but we enjoyed it quite a bit, apart from how salty it was. Spice and numbness was pretty balanced. Would recommend to request for much less oil and salt!
An interesting thing to noteβοΈ is that AHH charges the same prices for meats, seafood or veggies. You pick out all your ingredients and they are weighed as a whole so meat lovers, this is the right place to be π€«π€« Our must get ingredients include potatoes, lotus, pork belly, cabbage, mushrooms, quail eggs, eggs and glassnoods!!!

Taste: 4.5/5

A Hot Hideout is nestled in the depths of Pulau NTU, bringing students an unique collagen concept that truly makes you go AHH! Do note that it can get super crowded during both lunch and dinner so do come early! Also hereβs a pro-tip: join their tele channel to find the best discounts and promos hehe
.
[NEW] They also have a new outlet at 369 Sembawang Road #01-04 - no need to travel to Pulau NTU anymore!! NTU students have 10% off at this outlet as well! π₯³π₯³
