For those working in the CBD, check out this place along level 1 of The Arcade. One of my favourite affordable places to visit in Raffles Place, it boasts 3 types of meehoonkueh for different tastebuds. My favourite is the curry version, the first time I ate it I felt so touched!! It’s like a fusion between mhk and laksa, very flavourful and heartwarming. I also like the dry one, you can add a soft boiled egg for 50 cents!

You can also choose between a choice of tofu or handmade bread rolls to accompany the soup, making the meal a hearty and heartwarming one.
A small cosy joint with fragrant tender grilled chicken and various salad options. I could choose between chicken breast or chicken thigh and I was spoilt for choice deciding amongst the many salads available. I enjoyed the tuna pasta! Came here twice and it hasn’t disappointed me. First time eating at The Salted Plum. I was recommended to try this if I like spicy food. They are generous with the chicken. The diced chicken was flavourful and the onsen egg definitely added the extra texture to the chilli chicken and rice combination. Although I would think that it is a bit pricey for a bowl like this given that many shops around the area are offering a similar bowl at this price point but with additional sides and drinks. May come back to try the other dishes, hopefully they can add more perks to the lunch sets!
I ordered the salmon, chicken breast, konnyaku noodles, onsen egg and mushroom medley. It is $20.50 by itself but Super hearty and filling!! Plus if you use Burpple Beyond is it 1-for-1. Especially love the black pepper sauce paired with the tender and succulent chicken breast. Would go back again. The salmon was a bit uncooked in my opinion but still tastes good with the sauce.
Soupertang is “souper” famous in Malaysia yet its Singapore outlet is underrated. Perhaps it’s due to its location but I do find its food equally yummy and worth revisiting again and again. tried the soup and it really reminds us of our mum’s cooking back home. As you relish the dishes here, every taste and every bite will trigger fond memories of growing up. Albeit a bit pricey, I believe it’s well worth the splurge.
Featured in some Michelin Guide 2017, I just discovered this week upon my friend’s recommendation. And I came back here again today. Just when you think $4 can’t get you any decent xlb, this place proves you wrong with 6 juicy, soupy and bigger-than-dtf’s xlbs. Super value for money if you are looking for a cheaper xlb fix. Also I ate their handmade noodles ZJM twice in a week because it’s really good too!
Really bad lighting but this Ebiko Pasta ($20) is the bombs can still remember my first bite into it!! I really love fusion carbonara style pasta and this really appealed to me. It was unique in taste yet not gelat. The prawns were also juicy and fresh. I would highly recommend this as well as their smoked salmon pizza! Pretty worth it if you come here with the Burpple Beyond app
Tasted like llao llao but at a cheaper price if you use the entertainer app. Still tasty and satisfied my froyo craving topped with muesli and dark chocolate sauce!!
I couldn’t really taste the kimchi in this one but who could resist mac and cheese in cubes? Really like how Two Hana is located near my house and is nett prices
Saw a few bad reviews of this place and was quite wary about trying their new dishes.. but this blew me away. I’m usually conscious about carbs but I couldn’t stop eating for this one. The pancake was not just fluffy but also tasted of fragrant pandan which is very rare to find! (Some pancakes smell good but the taste doesn’t meet expectations) also the gula Melaka sauce is a must add, it complements the pancakes so well! Lastly there’s also a surprise stuffing in the pancakes. A must try!!
My favourite ramen in Singapore!! And also cuz it’s not expensive (~$15) as compared to some overpriced ramen around town. Maybe it’s cuz I’m biased towards shoyu broths. The shoyu broth is super flavourful and noodles are springy and tasty, salivating as I think of this.
