Been having cravings for black carrot cake for the longest time and this is really one satisfying plate! The pieces are unlike your usual ctk, they are larger and plumper, making your every bite more flavourful! Plus there’s a distinctive wok hey taste and I guess that’s what everyone likes in a good lo’ ctk.

Yums!! I really like the protein sides at Wafuken, especially the tender chicken breast and the sous vide salmon. I think the price of the salmon increased so I got Saba this time round, which surpassed my expectations! It was a huge portion with a lot of meat, with a crispy skin and juicy flesh. Would recommend the spicy miso sauce to go with it! Usual price is $17 but very worth if you use burpple beyond

A classy bar nestled in the middle of a tropical respite that is The Capella; we dropped by before our dinner at The Knolls and it was a good experience! Drinks were well made and the ambience was serene and quiet. Bob’s Bar also boasts a good view of the surroundings, overlooking the sea beyond the pool.

Was a bit underwhelmed by the portion but I Guess the flavour of the cod fish made up for it. Perhaps I will try their pasta and risottos next time!

The ribeye steak ($44) is juicy and tender with a nicely done charred finish. The Knolls also boasts excellent service and an amazing ambience (makes you feel like you are out of Singapore), perfect for dates or a significant event.

YUMSS! We had two premium flavours, The Apiary and We Can (contains whiskey), and they go Super well with the waffles!! The waffles is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, pretty well made except that it was served to us lukewarm :/ would have been nicer if t was piping hot

I really enjoyed some of the dishes here, such as the Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich ($22) and the lamb baked eggs ($20). The chicken thigh in the sandwich was succulent and crispy in every bite, it’s kind of like an upsized mcspicy or zinger burger only that it’s better. Try dipping the toast into the lamb baked eggs too! The Lokal Burger ($26) was okay, just that the beef patty was abit tough. Overall still a recommended space to have a hearty brunch and “hearty” conversations :)

You are given a form and basically tick your choice of protein, sides and base (similar concepts out there), only that this differentiates itself because it is with a Korean twist! My colleagues and I particularly loved shaking the box in order to evenly mix our delicious bibimbap ingredients. The portion was a bit small but the sauce really brought the sides and protein tgt, make this a place I would visit again but for an affordable fuss free Korean meal.

Been wanting to try this since I ate it twice in Seoul. Hmm it doesn’t have that WOW factor as the ones I ate in Seoul that will make me want to go back for more. The patty was quite small, although the sweet savoury omelette egg made up for the lackluster patty. The bread was also lukewarm and not as crisp and buttery as I expected it to be. But still good for a meal especially if you were really hungry like me.

Who doesn’t love a plate of rice drenched in curry and topped with crispy and tender fried chicken? Sometimes the best food is just at the most unassuming of places. This is less than $6 if I recall correctly!

Fun Toast at Marina One has an opening promo and this now costs only $5, really enjoyed it because the portions were big and the food was actually tasty and not too salty. Who knew that soy sauce could go so well with the cheecheongfun 😋

I really enjoyed the mentaiko bowl with buckwheat soba even though my onsen egg was sort of overcooked! Love the mayo and the portions given 😋 starting from $9.90, you can build your own bowl of salmon donburi with any of the flavours of salmon available.
