Famous for their fluffy cream buns, Hattendo has opened their new flagship store at Dorsett Residences at Outram Park! Serving up a new Japanese fusion menu, pop by for a casual lunch and tuck into their Friends w Benefits ($21.90) grain bowl served with chargrilled A4 wagyu beef, foie gras, onsen egg atop fluffy Japanese rice and Pipes Burger ($21.90), which sees succulent foie gras topped on a homemade juicy hamburg beef patty. Another great choice would be their WTFat ($16) wheat plates of sous vide chestnut pork belly, shio combu linguine, shimeji mushroom and onsen egg.

Although we had already paired the other dishes with a bowl of steamed rice each, I wasnât going to let us leave without trying Shaoâs âVegetable Hor Funâ.
It turned out to be better than any of us expected. The moment it landed on the table, salivary glands were triggered. My first chopstick-full confirmed the noodlesâ tastiness. Masterfully fried with just soya sauce and bits of chopped up âkai lanâ, it dazzled with an intense âwok heiâ. In short, a seemingly simple but very, very tasty dish thatâs worth a try.

Matcha White Chocolate ($8)
Bruh.... bruh........... this cake was so frickin delicious I think Jesus himself made it...... itâs so perfect from head to toe ugh. The first cake to ever make me tear bc I was so touched at the taste LOL I AM DRAMATIC AS HELL my friend asked me whatâs wrong with me. Itâs perfectly sweet, matcha was slightly bitter, white choc not cloying, cake layers were moist and soft.... my god idk how to describe it anymore lah just go and try itâs rly damn good sia wtf đ
Orh Nee ($8)
I donât eat orh nee and I kinda hate it tbh I donât dig the texture nor the taste but this was ok for me!!! The taste was similar to sweet potatoes but not as strong of an earthy taste. The cake had a good balance of sweetness and was light on the palate. I would have it again, no doubt, and this is coming from a yam hater mind u.
I LOVE LUNA AND I WANNA LIVE THERE TO BECOME A BIG FAT BALL BC OF THEIR CAKES PLS I NEED A LIFETIME SUPPLY!!!!!!
Iâve ATTEMPTED to dine at LUNA a couple of times now but was never able to get a seat, so having been offered the opportunity to try their new cakes recently...dudes I hopped on the bandwagon like *snaps fingers*. And, as per my first â and only â experience there, I left super satisfied. My fave of the 2 new flavours I tried was their Yuzu Meringue. The sponge layers were fluffy and soft, good but nothing to yell home about. What screamed out to me was the curd. Texture-wise it was textbook perfect, and it had just the right amount of tang: discernible but not in-my-face, keep me reaching for more bite after bite. I also really enjoyed the little bits of sweet yuzu peel folded in there. It tastes exceedingly reminiscent of the Korean citron marmalade, and the very mild bitterness from the peel balanced out really well with all the other flavours.
Milk tea:
Very, very thick, velvety, creamy and aromatic, thanks to the special blend of sri lanka tea leaves. It wasnât overly tannic (left it sitting on the table for a good 45mins or so). Some milk tea are a lot more tannic when theyâve cooled! Get the hot one! The cupâs incredibly pretty
Egg tarts, in cookie crust:
The bright yellow custard were so glossy! Extremely jelly-ish and wobbly, nicely paired with buttery crust. Itâs so old school that itâs baked in metallic tart liners too!! For takeaways of <4, you donât get a box with a lid but instead, a takeaway tray thatâs tastefully designed too.
Love the presentation of everything from the store. Canât wait to try other items!
Shockingly, I preferred this to the Duck Confit Tagliatelle. This was one delectable bowl of slurpy goodness. With an option of white wine or red wine for the sauce if this pasta, I went with white wine and did not regret it! (I am sure red wine would do good as well though) The sauce of this pasta was flavourful, with a combination of white wine, garlic, and chilli padi mixed together, giving a tasty, not-too-salty, slightly-spicy and an overall light, pleasant taste in your mouth. Very unflattering to say, but I gobbled this plate of spaghetti up instantly, and because this pasta was more to the wet, gravy side, I inevitably caused a messđ there was also a generous amount of crab meat, and guaranteed to have some of that luscious flesh of meat in every scoop of your spaghetti. Would come back for this, even thought I would definitely come back to try their other delicious looking dishes on their menu!
P.S. you can upgrade the type of pasta to tagliatelle for $3!

Puffs are encrusted with a crusty charcoal top, filled with fresh, luscious and umami custard cream. As creams used were fresh, it was neither jelak not too sweet. Black sesame cream was light and fragrant with a hint of roasted taste.
