If you're ever at mitzo, get one of these! (We had four each 😅) With so much other food from the brunch buffet, I'm glad I saved space for this oozy milk goodness. Eat it while it's warm!

The signature pancake was crispy on the outside yet warm, soft and fluffy on the inside. Served with caramelised bananas and house-made butterscotch & honey comb ice cream, this will certainly sweeten up your day.

LOVED THIS. The super soft and fragrant banana bread had a thin crisp crust all around it. The touch of salt along with the slab of espresso butter complemented very nicely too. Just the right amount of sweetness and hits all the right spots!

Thank you @jonesthegrocersingapore for having us and @burpple for the kind invite! ✨

If you do order this, just eat the Foie Gras. Because everything else, is just unnecessary. Was a mess of a starter, what kind of weird combination is this. Whoever created this combination needs a knock on the head. And whoever thought that this even tasted good and decided to make it a regular item deserves an even harder knock on the head. The ingredients really don't go, I hope they revise this menu item and make it better. The only positive I can find is that the slab of Foie Gras was quite substantial.

Finally went down to Nasty Cookie after months of oogling over their cookies on Instagram. Back then, they didn't have a shop to sell their cookies and the only way you could purchase them was online.

Had their Premium flavour, a Reese's cup cookie, injected with Marshmallow filling and a soft serve, courtesy of Chope's discount voucher. Now I was pleasantly surprised, this cookie isn't cloying at all. It's a pretty well balanced cookie. The outside has a light crisp, and the inside is a little chewy and gooey; I.e. fudgey.

As for the soft serve, you DEFINITELY could do without it. Basically a really non creamy and light vanilla ice cream. Trust me when I say this, Mcdonald's soft serve is wayyyyy better than this. I feel that it numbs the flavour of the cookie rather than complement it. Can't really taste much marshmallow in the cookie, probably because of the soft serve 🤔.

Overall, a positive experience but I feel it's rather gimmicky. Definitely not worth the price if not for the Chope deal I got. Still good though, and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Mud Pie
Cost: $5.90
Description: The mud pie contains chocolate, cookies and cream, burnt caramel ice cream with Oreo cookie crumbs
Service: efficient and helpful service staff who willingly helped to take photos for us
Ambience: Some might find the shop’s interior rather small and a little narrow but I suppose this adds to the cosy vibes of the place. As it’s a small shop, you might not be able to get seats inside. My friends and I had to sit outside which was not too bad either as they had ceiling fans!
Personal take: I personally love this mud pie so much! Brought my friends here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and they were amazed by how good it was too. Island creamery is definitely my go to place for mud pies.
If ever you are craving a dessert that is cake-like and yet icecream-ish, then get the mud pie. It is a perfect blend of neutral old school flavors that many will love and the cookie crumbs and chocolate borders provide a good texture contrast to the inner ice cream core.
4 of us shared this mud pie, which was just enough for us. But I definitely can wallop one whole mud pie on my own :)

Claypot rice, medium $13. We are craving for their claypot rice so we are back here again! This time round, we dropped them a call before going down so they can reserve and start some early preparation - 阿清砂煲饭 98680934. Very fragrant, rice texture is just nice, generous portion of huge pieces of chicken that’s so juicy and tender, with Chinese sausage and salted fish cubes! We have eaten tons of claypot rice and truly, this one wins hands down, indeed one of the best Claypot rice we have eaten! 👍🏼👍🏼

Nothing much to say, this J I P A was nice and had a mozerella cheese and pineapple filling. Quite a thick and juicy J I P A this is. Get it via a Chope Voucher for an added discount 👌

Had these meats all by myself today.
The 250g ribeye was well worth the price of 24 dollars, and came with my favourite cafe de paris sauce. Was done medium rare and well seared which ensured a crisp texture. It was pretty good. Tender, flavourful, juicy, but nothing too amazing.

The 250g Flat Iron on the other hand, was really so- so, I suggest you go without it, even though it's cheap ($18). Since flat iron steak is one of the tougher cuts, its hard to do it well. Unfortunately for MediumRare by Saveur, they failed to meet my expectation of a good steak. It was robust in flavour no doubt, but extremely hard to chew on. Trust me, you'd have an aching jaw by the end of your meal. You'd be better off ordering their Sirloin ($18) for 200g. Really hope MediumRare gets their Flat Iron steak sorted out.

The sides were done decently, nothing special. The creamed spinach was light on the palate, and the coleslaw ensured freshness and was a nice contrast to cut through the richness of the steak.

Overall I'd rate : 3.5/5. Service was excellent definitely. However, it's rather unlikely that I will come again.

Went to Wok In Burger's newly opened joint in JCube (their other location being near Bukit Merah). They were having an opening week special, $2 for their Salted Egg Chicken Burger, which would otherwise go for a steeper price of $11.80.

Pretty decent burger, toasted buns and a very nice salted egg flavour, though I feel it'd be better with a little more of their salted egg. The portion of chicken was very generous! It was surprisingly not "jelak" at all and I could honestly go for 1 more, as I'm a big eater😬 Definitely do give them a try, to me this is much better than The Quarter's rendition of the salted egg burger.

Friendly staff, prompt service.

Slightly crispy and overall still decent. Heard it's better than both victory and zamzam right next door, so I guess luckily I didnt go there.

My friend was super impressed though, so I guess I'm just too spoiled by enaq
