This is a bowl variation of a former Lemon Acai Parfait which was rolled out last year.

Felt that the previous Lemon Acai Parfait tasted better, it was more refreshing and lemony and less dry.

Today’s acai was a little sandy and drier, but still good nonetheless in this humid weather.

Chocolate mousse, praline feuilletine and hazelnut dacquoise – I think this chocolate cake tastes almost exactly like how it looks! The addition of the gold leaf is also so cute, so #atas. After trying one cake and one plated dessert, we thought the cakes were better (you can’t go wrong with chocolate cake). Fun fact: Voyage Patisserie opens till midnight from Fridays to Sundays 🌃

Finally visited this newly opened cafe called Voyage Patisserie that specialises in plated desserts, cakes and tarts.

I’m quite partial to lemony desserts so we decided to share this plated dessert which consisted of whipped ganache, some lemon sablee, yuzu-like curd, jelly and lemon sorbet.

The dessert was so pretty. We felt the dessert could do with more biscuit as it was really mostly ganache. The sorbet was also small and melted quickly (it didn’t really taste like lemons to me) but I really enjoyed the crisp candied lemon. We found that pretty interesting :)

How to get to Voyage Patisserie: It’s a few stops down from Great World City in the Tiong Bahru/Outram Park area, and has a bus stop directly opposite (Before Outram Flyover) and is a few minutes’ walk from Outram Park MRT station.

This veggie pizza is my most favourite pizza in the world, the crust is the right amount of thickness and chewiness, and I really love the generous amount of pumpkin, zucchini, Brussels sprouts and broccoli! Definitely a must order at any Da Paolo Gastronomia outlet.

It’s not Easter without some eggs 🐣 These New Zealand scrambled eggs on sourdough are usually my must-order breakfast favourite at @houseofanli. Sadly yesterday’s eggs on toast wasn’t very hot and I don’t think the chef prepared it properly. Could see lots of egg white and it tasted (different) more like soft boiled eggs which was disappointing because I don’t like soft boiled eggs. At least it looked pretty šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Tuna, yellowtail, uni, ikura and I’m not sure what other sashimi there was šŸ˜‚ I asked for the scallop and sweet prawn to be swapped out but don’t know why my bowl didn’t come with any salmon 😢 I’m not sure what the leaf at the front was (not the shiso leaf) but it was really bitter like medicine. The tuna and sushi rice was delicious 🐟

1. Finally tried @ioosteriasg after wanting to visit for the longest time. Assorted pizza (medium) [$24++], from left to right: Garlic and chilli, pepperoni, zucchini and bacon, margherita.
2. I wish the servers had told us how much more the gluten-free pasta would cost ($8++ if you need to know) and how big the small/medium/large pizzas were.. I asked about the latter and the waitress just said the small is one pizza cut into four šŸ˜‚ Not very helpful honestly, she could have told us the portion size or that we could see how big the pizzas were based on the display at the front. The medium size is for sharing (among maybe three or more people), please don’t order it for one person to eat, it’s way too much. I learnt it the hard way šŸ˜‚
3. The restaurant is very pretty with lots of natural light.

Waffles are just pancakes with abs! The waffle dessert was tad expensive at almost $20. We shared this among eight people. Wasn’t that amazing although the strawberries were really generous and huge.

Look at the cheese oozing out 😱 The sauce pictured is the demi-glace sauce. It was a really filling meal, felt like I had to go for a really long walk after that and was full for hours after my lunch today.

Finally visited Lunar Coffee Brewers for lunch after having walked past it like a hundred times. The place is constantly packed and pretty noisy. Ordered this pasta dish as I’m allergic to coffee and don’t eat poached/onsen eggs. Tbh the pasta sauce tasted like Secret Recipe/Pasta Mania to me. I think a lot of garlic went into this. Somehow the beef bolognese at Atlas Coffeehouse tasted better to me even though they are sister cafes (maybe ā€˜cos they put lots of black pepper there). The staff here are pretty friendly and observant, and there’s also tap water (still and sparkling) available.
