We also ordered the pork belly rice and the new additions curry cutlet pao fan & assam fish curry pao fan which struck us more as curry rice. Between the 2 new dishes, we enjoyed the assam fish (with a sour tang) more ๐ฅ
Didnโt notice this item on the menu on my last visit! Wouldnโt really call this paofan. Amongst the two rice dishes that we tried, we enjoyed this more (comes with a sour tang)
For sides, we opted for the fried squid ($13) and Thai BBQ squid ($15.30)
Coated in sweet sauce, this is a must try! ๐
Didnโt expect to see this new item ($13.20). A tad greasy ๐
A stoneโs throwaway from Maxwell MRT, this new space at Neil Road is the first dine-in concept serving their signature fresh cream cakes, waffles, cold-pressed juices and more ๐ฐโจ
Couldnโt miss out on their best seller, Guava Lychee Slice. An exotic combination of guava-infused sponge layered with guava cream and lychee bits, this light chiffon-style fresh cream cake comes at a good sweetness level ๐
Overall, a cozy tranquil dessert spot decorated with lush botany ๐ฟ What stood out to us is that we could try and sample the different albeit limited flavours by the slice (since their original outlet in MacPherson only accepts takeaway orders as a full cake).

We also tried another best selling cake - ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐ ๐ฆ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ($๐ด.๐ต๐ฌ) ๐ซถ Made with cotton soft yuzu sponge, freshly made yuzu curd and New Zealand manuka honey cream. A refreshing citrus pairing! ๐

One of my favourites turned out to be this zesty passionfruit tart laced with traces of white chocolate ๐ซ
Also tried this IG-worthy dessert ($7.50)

Situated at the heart of Boat Quay, Quay House pays homage to the rich heritage of its location - a historical epicentre for regional spice trading back in the 1920s. Serving fusion dishes that brings traditional regional flavours and spices to life over an open fire, experience a familiar and comforting yet altogether unique rendition at this restaurant ๐ฅ
One of their signature items is the ๐ค๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฐ๐ธ ๐ฎ ๐ช๐ฎ๐๐ ($๐ฑ๐ด). Taking inspiration from French and Asian culinary methods, this signature duck dish features applewood chimney-smoked duck breast and leg confit in Nyonya curry ๐ฆ The former is slow cooked over open fire, while the latter is prepared in traditional French method. The rich but mildly-spicy curry is fragrant with coconut flavour and taste ๐ฅฅ
