It’s raining again… but that doesn’t dampen my enthusiasm to eat good food! 🀭

Warming myself up on this chilling evening with Teochew-style bak kut teh from Outram Park Ya Hua Rou Gu Cha. Besides the crowd-pleasing tasty and peppery Spare Ribs Soup, the Braised Tau Kua (Beancurd) is a must-try! πŸ˜‹

I also love how Ya Hua allows us to choose between fatty or lean Braised Pork’s Trotters. We had to go with the leaner one to look after our waistline but if fats mean flavour to you then whatever floats your boat. 😘

Pizzakaya, the popular California-style pizza place from Roppongi (yes, that fancy district in Tokyo, Japan), has landed in Singapore with a spread of classics and ε’Œι’¨ (wafu, Japanese) fusion pizzas! 😚

Love Gyudon (Japanese beef bowl) and pizza? Missing your trips to Osaka? Pizzakaya has got you covered with Gyudon Pizza and Takoyaki Pizza. There are more of such Japanese fusion pizzas which will blow your mind. πŸ˜‹

Embracing my carnivorous diet, I went for Iberico Goma Shabu Salad Pizza ($25.8). 😍 Thick chewy and pillowy pizza crust with melted cheese, multiple layers of savoury Iberico pork, drenched in your preferred amount of sesame dressing. Yes it can be jelak after a while, so jio your friends along and order more variety! πŸ₯³

Venchi (@venchi.singapore) is deemed "one of the best gelato one can have in Italy". With its flagship store at Marina Bay Sands (@marinabaysands), we can get to indulge in the authentic gelato without traveling to Italy. πŸ€—

Try the new Panna Cotta flavour along with Tiramisu to experience these familiar desserts in gelato form. Famous for its prized ingredients - pistachio and chocolate, Venchi's Brutto ma Buono (milk chocolate with hazelnut) and Pistachio di Bronte are the must-trys! πŸ˜‹

Thanks to Burpple Beyond (@burpple), 😘 I get to enjoy this renowned Italian gelato on a 1-for-1 promotion. Two regular cups/cones (total of 4 flavours) for just $10! 🀭

Wa Don-Don is one of the best yakiniku restaurants frequent by Japanese in Singapore. We 100% enjoyed the beautiful cuts of high quality beef - beef skirt steak ($25) and tenderloin ($35) with the assorted sides ($13.50). 😍

Grab a table if you had not made your dinner plans! Wa Don-Don is running a 50% promo for their beef tongues on Monday! 🀀 Check out their Instagram (@wa_dondon_sg) for more info~ πŸ˜‰

Even if dim sum is not up your alley, Min Jiang at Goodwood Park Hotel (@goodwoodparkhotelsg) serves a good spread of exquisite Cantonese and Sichuan dishes. 😘

Satisfy your taste buds with the rich and flavourful Stewed Ee-fu Noodles with King Prawn in XO Sauce ($16). Beef lovers will definitely enjoy the tender Wok Fried Beef Cubes with Asparagus in Black Pepper Sauce ($36). Instead of the usual Peking Duck, try Min Jiang's Camphor Tea Smoked Duck Fillet ($32) for the soft and tea-scented aromatic meat. πŸ˜‹

The newly renovated Min Jiang at Goodwood Park Hotel has reopened! Sophisticated interior, excellent and prompt service, and not forgetting the awesomely delicious food. πŸ˜‹

Expect nothing less when dining at Min Jiang, they do not mess around with the quality of the dim sum items. Now available on push cart during lunch, even the basics like Har Gau ($6.20) and Siew Mai ($6.20) are easily one of the best dim sum we ever had. πŸ‘πŸ» Steamed Chinese Spinach with Chicken and Prawn Dumplings ($6.80) deserves a special mention - we love how all the flavours came together so beautifully. And just when we thought it will just be another Deep-fried Beancurd Skin Roll with Prawns ($6.80), we were so wrong. Min Jiang's rendition is probably the most crispy, least oily yet most juicy with succulent plump prawns. 🀀

Do make reservations to avoid disappointment! There are limited seatings due to safe distancing measures. Most importantly, even we were reluctant to leave after our meal. Just continue sipping tea and enjoy the relaxing ambience. 🀭 Chillax chillax~~

FIRE! You are definitely missing out if you had not visited Wa Don-Don (@wa_dondon_sg) for their fresh and tender Japanese beef. 😍

Harami Steak ($25/100g) is one of the leanest cut but this chunky steak set the coals on fire with its minimal fat, giving the exterior a nice and beautiful crust while retaining all the sweet and savory juice of the steak. 😘 All it took was 5 mins to blow me away...

Have you gotten your hands on these fluffy Korean buns and flakey croissants from Korfe (@korfe.sg) yet? πŸ˜‹ Currently priced at $2 each and selling straight out from the oven, I managed to get all the six items - Matcha Cookie Bun, Garlic Cream Cheese Bun, Injeolmi Red Bean Mochi Bun, Nutella Cookie Bun, Butter Croissant and Almond Croissant. 😘

Tip: Cut the buns in halves and try them two ways - hot and chilled. Heating the buns up elevates the flavours 🀀 and fluffiness of the buns while eating them chilled is like enjoying ice cream buns. 😍

Ready to get your hands dirty? πŸ€— Dripping juice from the thick beef patties, buns soaked with sauces and mushroom gravy from toppings, generous portion of fresh veggies trying to escape from my grip. Yes, the flavour-packed burgers from Five Guys are satisfying but they are quite a "handful". 😘

ЗдравствуйтС (hello)! Russian cuisine might not be a common/usual food affair in Singapore. But this goes out to all food lovers, #nevertryneverknow! πŸ€—

We started off our exotic journey with Mimosa Salad ($8) - tuna, eggs, carrots and potatoes. For adventurous foodies, I'd recommend Π¨ΡƒΠ±Π° ("shuba") which means fur coat. Fear not, the name derives from the presentation of layers of salted herring fish salad, beetroot, potatoes, carrots and eggs. 😘

ПСльмСни ("pelmeni", dumplings) are typically served with смСтана ("smetana", sour cream) in Russia. These Siberian 8ights Dumplings ($10.50) are filling with minced marinated beef and pork. Be prepared to be punched with a strong herb flavour of dill! πŸ˜‹

Think chewy and airy donuts with a light crisp on the outside, 🀀 featuring Singapore local flavours - Pandan Ondeh Ondeh ($2.80), Orh Nee ($2.50), Pulut Hitam ($2.20) and Milo Dinosaur ($2.20). If you prefer lighter and refreshing flavours, try Citrus Yuzu ($2.50), Wholemeal Yogurt ($2.20), Coffee ($1.80) and Original ($1.30).

If you can't stomach all at once, must try the crowd-pleasing Orh Nee donut! The overflowing yam filling is smooth and not overly sweet. #donutworrybehappy 😘
