Back at Omote for our chirashi fix! šŸ˜ Our favourite has to be Salmon Chirashi Booster for the thick and fresh salmon sashimi, topped with ikura on Omote's signature chirashi blend. For those with petite appetites, the regular-sized Omote Chirashi is just as satisfying.

Think melted cheese and black sesame paste oozing out of the tender pork cutlet. Don't think I've seen such katsu at a Japanese restaurant in Singapore before. ā˜ŗļø

Journey around Kyushu with Sushiro. If you are stuck in Singapore while many swarm to Japan, keep calm and savour this month's feature items such as the fresh air-flown amberjack, juicy mackerel, sweet grouper and fatty tuna from Sushiro. šŸ˜˜

Thick cuts of salmon belly brushed with dashi soya sauce topped with a bountiful dollop of glistening salmon caviar (aka ikura). šŸ˜‹

This chirashi don is stacked with thick cuts of white fish, salmon, tuna, squid, octopus, a sizable prawn, a jumbo scallop, tamagoyaki and a dollop of flying fish roe. Though the sashimi lack some glistening lustre, they were still relatively fresh and I really appreciate the generous cuts of everything in that bowl.

Feeling hungry? Go for the Makino Tendon & Soba set ($25) from Tempura Makino. You get to enjoy abundance of tempura items with hearty portions of both fluffy Japanese rice and soba. Think airy crisp and lightly battered prawn, squid, mushrooms, eggplant, pumpkin, french bean and the oozesome egg. šŸ¤¤

Yakiniku-GO Plus at Suntec City is probably currently the most wallet-friendly place to enjoy premium Wagyu beef. Making every penny counts, you can find a platter of luxurious marbled Wagyu beef from as affordable as $18.80++. šŸ˜˜

Wa Don-Don is one of the best yakiniku restaurants frequent by Japanese in Singapore. We 100% enjoyed the beautiful cuts of high quality beef - beef skirt steak ($25) and tenderloin ($35) with the assorted sides ($13.50). šŸ˜

Harami Steak ($25/100g) is one of the leanest cut but this chunky steak set the coals on fire with its minimal fat, giving the exterior a nice and beautiful crust while retaining all the sweet and savory juice of the steak. šŸ˜˜ All it took was 5 mins to blow me away...

Served with silky smooth chawanmushi and a comforting bowl of miso soup, this rice bowl is topped with a huge prawn, lavish cuts of sashimi and grilled eel (unagi) rolled in beautiful omelette (tamago). Serious overcrowding issue but I have absolutely no complaints. šŸ˜

Behind the unassuming wooden door and quiet facade, the restaurant was bustling and filled with office crowd during weekday lunch time. šŸ˜²

The set lunch menu ticks all the right boxes. Afforable price range from as low as $15, there are Beef Teriyaki Set, Tempura Set and Fried Chicken Set. Even the popular Chirashi Set is tagged at $18 only. šŸ˜‰

Feeling famished, I decided to splurge a little and go for the most expensive set lunch - Matsuzushi Bento ($27). Be prepared that there won't be pretty and elegant cuts of sashimi. The cuts are irregular (in a good way) and very thick. So fresh, every mouthful is so shiok! šŸ˜ The prawns are plump and succulent. And the set is served with prawn miso soup and chawanmushi which has unagi hidden in this smooth and silky egg pudding. Variety plus great quality of food, this bento is worth every penny. Definitely coming back again! šŸ˜‹

Sushiro has probably the most extensive variety of sushi amongst the notable conveyor belt sushi chains in Singapore.

In terms of fluffiness and chewy-ness of the vinegar sushi rice, Sushiro is the hands down winner. šŸ‘šŸ»

While the diversity of having different toppings to the basic sushi items is impressive, the tastiness factor is pretty subjective to individual's personal preference.

That said, these are my top 10 delicious personal favourites. šŸ˜˜
