Wasn’t as great as I expected it to be. Salmon portion was quite miserable and so was the mentaiko. It was just placed atop a bed of prtially sauced up rice. But at 8.90 I guess I can’t complain.
With a choice of 4 toppings for your açai softserve at a mere 9.90, what’s there not to love! Açai softserve wasn’t as sweet, really refreshing & generous portions were given. Nice place along Katong for a night out & to satisfy some açai cravings!!! They do serve smoothies and a coconut variant of their softserve but I prefer the açai one for first timers at Beriwell!
Amazing, rich and flavourful broth, probably my favourite. Always get the pig tail prawn mee starting at $5. Pig tails are always fresh and chewy and prawns are sweet. Weirdly the prawn noodles start at $6, while the pig tail prawn noodle combi start at $5 haha. Would gladly pick the combination of pork and prawns! A must try for prawn noodle lovers. Plus the ngoh hiang stall at the side is pretty good too.
Chicken was tough and underwhelming. Rice was mediocre. Only had this because Tian Tian was closed. And the queue was so long because all the tourists had to turn to this substandard alternative boo. $17.50 for half a chicken with egg and gizzards and 2 rice.
Amazing place for pizzas and pastas tucked away in Katong V!! My favourite pizza/pasta place now actually. The Beef Ragu ($19+) was the best I’ve had. The tagliatelle and actually all their bases are handmade and you can truly taste the difference. Beef was cooked in red wine and it was the perfect pairing. Really springy and tasty, a must go for pasta & pizza lovers. Their truffle pizza was super good too. Service was also amazing, I’ve nothing to complain about!
I’ve never been so blown away by a plate of chicken rice LOL. The chicken here is tender and succulent and the sauce is just the cream on top, I’ve never had a chicken rice with such tender and juicy breast meat and the chicken skin is so silky and soft. The rice is fluffy and flavourful and the chili is amazing. Half a chicken for only $9 and rice for only 50 cents, truly cheap and good chicken rice. On the top of my list along with Tian Tian. But cheaper, haha.

Service was impeccable, waffles were alright. Wanted the salted caramel one but it was apparently melt-y and the server recommended a change for me. Ice cream wasn’t that good tbh, wasn’t the creamiest I’ve had, kinda lacked in flavour. Waffles are waffles & I’ve no complaints haha. Cost around $12.50(?)ish, the usual price for ice cream and waffles I guess.

Pretty standard bowl of Tendon from Kogane Yama going at the standard price $13-$14++. Batter wasn’t that crispy and got a little gelat at the end, ingredients weren’t the usual, there was lotus root which I felt was kinda weird, an average bowl you, I wouldn’t visit then again unless I’m lazy to go to Ginza Tendon Itsuki!
