Waffles with Single Scoop Didnt know that the burpple voucher was only avail till a certain timing so we werent able to use it. Tried their waffles with 3 different icecream flavours! Waffles were crispy and airy, perfect for those who doesnt like dense waffles

10/10 waffles - cereal milk gelato with half charcoal waffles ($10) ok i haven’t had many waffles with ice cream admittedly but i absolutely LOVED these. the gelato was soooo sweet (in a good way, maybe bc i’m a sweet tooth) and was basically a concentrate version of leftover cereal milk. A++ for texture too bc it was siiilky smooth and didn’t melt super fast. charcoal waffles didn’t taste like charcoal (probably a good thing idk), and retained its airy, crispy personality even when the gelato started melting and seeped into the waffles. wafer on top was q good but not the main focus lol would come back when i pass by kap or sumn 💯

Cereal Milk Flavour Got the cereal milk flavour and it’s really nice! Ice cream is creamy and taste of good quality. Will be back to try more flavours and waffles too

mushroom pasta they don’t sell pastas anymore unfortunately but when they did, it slapped and it slapped hard

Soft-Hearted Rebel ($6.50 on website) ($5.50 on store) as I wanted to try their second flavour for matcha for a long time but no chance to buy so when they are at everton park that time. So I just decided to go there even though that day was raining and gotta self collection from there. I did reheat after putting fridge for 1 to 2 day after self collection. Got strong black sesame taste but then they kinda fight each other for taste. I felt that matcha overlooked by black sesame tbh.

Urbane globetrotter Urbane globetrotter ($4.50) Malted choc chip with earl grey fillings - Super chocolatey earl grey filling, and cookie slightly firm, but the cream melted really easily and became super watery when I got home. You can defo taste earl grey, and this is so rich it's the kind you will get sorethroat from it hahaha.

Curious merrymaker & Inquisitive wanderer Curious merrymaker ($4.50) Because of the dark choc flavour and cookie texture, it kind of reminds of a brownie, but cookie form. This was just okay for me, esp coz the cheesecake don't really add much to the cookie too? Inquisitive wanderer ($4.50) There's some floral matcha fragrance, and white choc flavour not bad too. This cookie was slightly chewier compared to the others, and just slightly drier than the rest.

Montanaro 16.55nett Buffalo mozz, speck, porcini cream, rosemary oil, rocket Can't rmb exactly, but everything was of good quality. However at this price it's quite difficult to be impressed, personally, as it's quite a mildly flavoured sandwich with the only seasoning coming from the salty speck(basically Parma ham tbh). Ingredients and portion was generous(it's huge actl, I barely managed to finish), but the bread was only mildly crispy. Porcini cream wasn't even cream, it's just very mild confit porcini i think Overall it's decent, not god-like, definitely not at this price. Also it's in Osteria by doc, there's no "paninoteca" except on the paper wrapping

Salumi ($10.65), Montanaro ($12.65) The schiacciata bread was crisp outside, chewy and pliable on the inside. Montanaro came with porcini cream, rocket salad, tomatoes, speck (a smoked cured ham similar to Parma ham), buffalo mozzarella and rosemary oil; Salumi came with tapenade (olive, anchovy spread), mixed salad, salami, cooked ham, garlic oil. 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐨 Speck was quite fatty, but flavourful and not salty! Had to Google what speck was :p Am not v big on cured meats but I definitely prefer this over parma, which is way too salty for me :x The buffalo mozzarella had a springy texture and tasted quite fresh! The rocket & tomatoes gave some green freshness to the sandwich. I think oil x bread is a good combi, so this was q enjoyable. 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐢 They were quite generous with the salami, which was slightly spicy and salty. It’s a flavourful sandwich, but overall it tasted as expected, nothing too mindblowing. Doesn’t look very huge but we were quite full! Looking forward to my next visit here for a toasty hot sandwich, we had this on a picnic so we couldn’t have it crisp but the bread held up very nicely :)

Arcobaleno ($12) A GOD-LIKE SANDWICH 🤩 I must say their Schiacciata (crispy, chewy, flavourful) is super well made and the balance in the ingredients was spot on as well. 10/10 will be back even if its gna burn a hole in my pocket.

Milk Cheesecake 9++ Kind of like ice cream almost, it's alright but not stunning in any way. Girl liked it tho Overall this place is very overpriced esp since burpple beyond is not very useful here, plus the waiting time is ridiculous. I have to say there aren't many Caribbean places yet tho, so given how this is more authentic than Limehouse they probably have some advantage for a while.

Pulpo Gallego 19++ I really liked this. There's a certain heat but the flavours are absolutely intense. It's braised octopus with chorizo and raisins. The octopus is pretty chewy but it's used brilliantly by pairing it w an intense sauce and cutting it into small chunks so the bite actually works. There's a certain heat to it too and the thyme? Bread which was crumbly worked passably w it. Not very worth it given the size but I adored this dish

Jerk Ckn 13++ THE BURPPLE BEYOND DEAL IS JUST FOR A FREE FRIED DISH, NOT ANYTHING ON THE MENU Pretty worth it, solid portion for the price. there's a bit of the spices that's reminiscent of the Cajun spices, but otherwise this dish is really hot.

Belgian Chocolate Boba Shave Ice ($12.90) I opt for tapicoa pearls and oreo cheese

Strawberry Ice Cream + Honey Osmanthus Jelly + Peach Pulp Purée 7/10 - The ice cream tastes normal and the bowl is smaller than expected. it’s kind of pricey too ($15.90)

Homemade Squid Ink Tagliatelle The al-dente squid ink tagliatelle has just the right bite, complemented by tender crab meat and bursts of juicy cherry tomatoes. A bright, tangy sauce ties it all together, delivering a fresh and well-balanced finish that keeps each forkful delightful 》$28

Horrible staff attitude, would not recommend don’t usually write reviews but this was so bad i have to leave a review to warn everyone. manager CLARENCE was extremely rude & unwelcoming, and it wasn’t just his unfriendly, unbothered tone. maybe he was unhappy that we were using burpple beyond deals, because he sent out their young part time staff a few times to pester us to quickly order, less than 5 min after we sat down. this place is in hort park, which has many dogs, and has a sign that states their al fresco area is pet friendly. well let me say - they are NOT. the manager clarence refused to give us a bowl for water, not even a disposable takeaway container. he tried to get us to order soups to get the extra bowls, which is such cheap behaviour for a nice place like this. he also snapped his fingers rudely at my dog a few times as he walked past, not sure what his deal was. while it is understandable that their younger staff might just be either part timers or interns, i think dropping cutlery on our (glass top) table more than a few times is hard to be okay with, especially when in a place that charges $30 per dish with a high end restaurant setting. they also dropped dirty cutlery near our phones at least once, and a knife nearly fell on my dog’s eye. the food was okay, but we would rather forego our remaining burpple vouchers than have to come back and pay so much for this terrible dining experience. the worst part is that we were really looking forward to trying this place, seeing the good reviews. edit: seeing google reviews, i noticed that there are really bad reviews of this place too, with multiple specifically for clarence (he’s a filipino guy). think twice before going.

25 Degrees🍔 Went to 25 Degrees and ordered the number one ($14)!😇 Ordered the smaller portion size but there are the standard burger sizes too😁 Overall ratings are a 3/10 mainly cuz I dont like blue cheese and this burger had them (i didnt know😭) but price is affordable and staff were great!

Prosciutto E Rucola I ordered this Prosciutto E Rucola (S$30.00) through the Oddle Eats platform, and this was one of the more satisfying takeaway pizzas to date. The dough was to my liking: airy and not too dense, with a good balance of crustiness to every bite. It was very nice of them to have packed the arugula and shaved parmigiana separately so that the greens remained raw when served. Apart from the parma ham, another important element was the sauce tub of chilli oil that accompanied the pizza. I’m sure many would agree that one tub was barely enough to go with the pizza, because it could make the already-delicious pizza even more mouth-watering.

Tonnareli Nero 28++ One of the best I've had as of 7/7/21. This tiny portion costs 28++ so savour it slowly but damn the sauce was so full of crab essence. Can only imagine the hours that went into it. Must try! We had pizza and bread so this portion worked for the two of us(anything larger and we wouldn't have finished). Cicheti serves restaurant quality Italian at restaurant prices but at such an ulu place. Their food is fortunately a cut above the rest though so the prices are kind of justified

Chili Oil Off menu. Request for it to go with your pizza. It was uh-mazing. I'm really glad the chili is real, there's quite some heat so it isn't just oil. There's a distinct Asian influence, almost sort of a mild funk to it but the edge is taken away since it's only an infusion. Good to enjoy by dipping the crust in, esp for monsters that usually throw the crust away

Keeping to their crazy cream-to-puff ratio, the National Day special is available only till 31 August. The Ceylon tea-infused signature Hokkaido BIEI Jersey Milk custard was so fragrant, intense and lusciously smooth - perfect when paired with the thin crisp and crusty choux pastry. One for tea lovers, it also kinda resembles a good Thai tea cream - a complex blend of sweet and floral, with warm, earthy and nutty notes. 

Teh Tarik Cream Puff Teh Tarik Cream Puff ($7) is under limited edition for NDP seasonal menu and end under end of month. So the taste replication for teh tarik is so similar (creamy and milky). Its giving off local vibes for national day month.
