The new stall’s name is Spicy Wife, bet everyone is wondering what his wife looks like 🤣. Ordered the aromatic chicken, which is fried ayam nasi lemak. Because everyone there did! Isn’t the plate grand? Huge chicken leg well marinated with tasty spices. I especially enjoyed the peanuts too. The rice could be more coconutty.

Wish you could’ve seen him. It was very happening how there were two boiling pots full of chicken, as he expertly flicks all the ingredients into boxes, including eggs with dripping centres. Wah, the fried chicken wars are heating up here. This is the 3rd nice one I’ve had.

The best thing about this stall is the ‘lame’ joke on the signboard (go see). I love how the young hawkers invest in branding. Love the storytelling frontage - successful home bakers became prawn noodle sellers based on granny’s recipe. But I feel it’s an average bowl of noodles. Old skool broth is not bad, prawns are supposed to be sea prawns ang kor, portion was small, meat was overcooked

Are these the best egg tarts I’ve ever eaten? No. But their crust is something else, easiest one of the flakiest I’ve tasted. Not as sweet as most, for would-be diabetics like me 🤣. And they have a mini size as shown

Not the first time I’ve had their sundubu, but first time on miso base and with asari clams. Miso base was a bit salty for me but goes well with rice & beer. I wish i ordered something else other than clams tho, the meat was too small snd all the broken shells in soup was not quite worth the trouble 🤣. Unfortunately it doesn’t best my current fave soondubu which is just $8

Haven’t eaten this in forever! The famous har cheong gai has literal sound effects - a very loud crunch when you bite in. Can taste the salted fish & crunchy beansprouts in salted egg fried rice. The salted egg pork ribs were boneless and amazingly tender too. Not cheap but such a satisfying dinner!

Reviews online rated the steak better than the fried chicken on french toast but I beg to disagree. The runny eggs were good, the beef was ok, w a wasabishish sauce

Was also psyched to discover this cafe, it’s such a pleasant place to have a good meal and do some work on the laptop. There was so much good food there I basically ate down the street! Pity it is a bit out of the way

Despite the less-than-enthusiastic reviews, I was pleased to love this! Chicken was crispy, tender & well seasoned. Maple syrup was lovely and not super sweet. Love their triple egg porridge! Comes wiyh a crispy wanton skin. Their fish porridge is good too, but they are not as good as delivery

Beyond generous ingredients for $5. Love everything from the fuzhou ball, fried dumpling, chilli, soup & friendly service. Most importantly the precious fried satay fish, which they painstakingly dry in the sun and fry themselves.

Many yummy affordable draught beers. Mostly finger food, the consistency varies. Laksa pasta & har cheong gai (above) is not bad! Dogs can sit outside by the park & they do love dogs!

Beautiful place to chill but please eat before you come. We thought we ordered dinner but the waiter who brought them explained without prompting that it’s small plates. They must get that a lot. Pricey with tiny portions. That said, the potato nest took quite long to eat so it satiated a bit. $200 for two with drinks. Great ambience though
