Shot from the side to show you how unthick it is, there was no option for a double so you can eat more, or option for non thick cut. I would’ve loved to see if it’s paper thin
Old chang kee does it again! The pastry’s name is begging you to figure it out. It’s actually a curry puff like pastry but thinner, and just look at the thick filling! The egg yolk nee isn’t too salty, orh née isn’t too sweet, but yam is fragrant and has a slightly mochi feel.

A babka is a sweet braided bread which originated in the Jewish communities of Poland and Ukraine. Damn yummy, and not too sweet!

Not bad but pales to the babka!
This is my 2nd fave yong tau foo in toa payoh but only my 2nd time eating it. I’ve never had it piping hot served on the spot but always tabao and cold, because it’s located near my fave prawn noodles and I always end up having that instead ( see previous post). Despite that, I was impressed by the taste that very first time. What took me so long was because the first time I was there I tried ordering it like the usual yong tau foo stalls where you pick and choose your pieces and the cost came up to a lot! This time, i figured out to buy in their sets, much cheaper at $5.5 but for a big eater like me, portion of 6 or 7 pieces is too small. Heh. They were nice enough to accommodate my requests for no bittergourd though. It’s yummy!

To aid your selection process, I love the chunky chicken, chickpeas, large cuts of pumpkin, bell pepper, amongst others. There are several tasty dressings though I usually skip raspberry vinaigrette

Amazing. Buttery, crumbly, not too sweet. It seems impossible they can manage all that for $1.8. Just sooooo good!
Amazing value! Bought because I was curious if it would be the crisp kind or the moist kind. It turned out soft & moist like cake. They must’ve been generous with the seasalt. Cos I could totally taste the grain. Not too sweet 👍
