To be honest, this might be one of the best👍 Roasted Pistachio gelato I had so far. But sorry😅 to say, their Balsamic Strawberry gelato kinda reminds me of the Children’s Panadol. LOL don’t ask me why I can still remember how it taste like...🙃

Freshly made upon order, their crispy waffles🧇 gave a soft crunch as I cut through it to reveal an airy and fluffy interior😍. You definitely won’t regret saying “YES” to the first question they ask😉.

❗️Satisfy your Thai🇹🇭 food cravings with either Nakhon Kitchen or Nangfa Thai Kitchen before heading down here for a sweet treat😊!

Run by the same folks behind @mercimarcel, @thefrenchfold is an all-day social dining concept around Traditional French Galettes and sweet Crepes with a modern twist. Did you know their Crepes can be enjoyed with an optional scoop of ice cream from @bopgelato at just SGD4?

Made with buckwheat flour, these are the Galettes (savoury pancakes) we tried...
👉No. 03 - SGD15
Comté cheese, over sautéed mushrooms, organic egg sunny side up
👉No. 09 - SGD19
Reblochon cheese, organic Bayonne ham, baby potatoes, pancetta, white wine picked onions

Nothing mind-blowing but simply well-executed. If I had to pick my favourite, it would be No. 03. The flavours from each component of the dish came together coherently, with the yolk providing a rich, eggy finish!

❗️Be sure to make a table reservation in advance through their website.

Used 1-for-1 on their Kaisendon burpple set - so worth it! Both of us ordered the signature kaisendon which had a generous amount of sashimi. The set came with a salad, 2 pcs of gyoza, miso and green tea.

$31.99 = ~$16 per pax, super worth imo!

Followed what others had recommended on Burpple, so we got the burrata pizza ($26) and beef short rib fettuccini ($29). The cheese on the former was sooo generous (🤤) and I rly liked how rich and beefy the latter was!

The two of us were stuffeddddd, so it was worth the 1-for-1 🙌

The much acclaimed and Jay Chou’s favourite bubble tea brand, which he also featured in his music video, has finally arrived in Singapore. After waiting for 20 minutes during an off-peak timing period, I finally got the Jasmine Green Tea with Plum Jello. At $6, this is definitely not cheap and even though I got the lite sugar option, it’s still too sweet for me. The plum jello was the only thing that shines through but overall it’s something that will not make return for again.

Big portion. Steak is juicy. Value for money. A secret hideout in a industrial area.

Drunken pork noodles ($9)

Beware it's spicy! But so yummy!! Good bland of chilli padi, minced pork and smooth kwayteow, it was so shiok to eat.

A must order everytime I'm here!

For a post-drink snack, a good friend recommended us the mushrooms, Taiwanese sausage, chicken wings, pork belly, and long beans.

The skewered items are generally seasoned the same way - strong, flavourful and intense. Each skewer didn't really have a distinctive taste. Additionally, all shared a similar theme, where each item was juicy and had a nice thick bite to it. Definitely not for the faint-hearted, as the spices ingrained in the meat are pretty overpowering! Out of the fistful of skewers, the mushrooms were my personal favourite where they make a perfect pair with the chicken wings.

This was my fav dish from dinner! Worth coming for this

This was so damn good. Everyone should try this at least once!! The deep fried crumbed coconut rice was so fragrant and paired well with the southern fried chicken and sambal. We shared this and a DIY brunch and was so so satisfied.

Modern European fine dining cuisine is what Chef Andrew Walsh and his team create but fret not, the atmosphere in the restaurant is not the stuffy sort.
We had the Business Set Lunch on our first visit, less than a fortnight into their launch. For our main, we could pick monkfish or quail, while dessert was either a yogurt or chocolate based one. Do note there isn't an a la carte menu so choice is rather limited.
Once we'd ordered, the warm, friendly staff brought out a mini sack containing slices of mixed seed sourdough bread slices with small bowls of whipped bacon butter (this was amazing!) and piquant, crunchy fermented cabbage. All made in-house mind you.
Shortly after, a platter with three types of loveliness arrived: a deepfried cube with lava-like sweet creamed corn within, a leaf on which sat a Galway Bay Oyster, beef tartare and oyster leaf mayo, and last but not least, a piece of crisped teriyaki chicken skin with pickled ginger. This was, not surprisingly, my favourite course of the entire meal.
Next up, a bowl of housemade ricotta dressed with tender asparagus, milkskin and Comte cheese. Lovely but not particularly mind-blowing.
My artistically plated (but quite small-portioned) main course of monkfish had an Asian element of sesame. The sweetness of the accompanying root vegetables was pleasant but other than that, I didn't find the dish as a whole, all that spectacular. Perhaps it's because I prefer robust flavours and had picked the dish designed for someone with a more delicate palette. Oh well...
Fortunately, the chocolate, orange and honeycomb dessert was more up my alley. Besides the playful mix of textures, I also liked how the citrus note contrasted with the richness of the chocolate. Having said that, I stole a bite of my dining partner's dessert--the yogurt--and didn't stop. Admittedly, I fell even harder for that.
I was looking forward to ending my meal with a cappuccino but alas, it was not to be. Cure, rather oddly, does not serve coffee. The reason given was their focus is on aperitifs and wine. I guess there's always the option of popping into The Lokal just around the corner to grab one.
The staff also shared with me their plans to change their menu monthly, so diners can always look forward to something new.
