Drunken pork noodles ($9)
Beware it's spicy! But so yummy!! Good bland of chilli padi, minced pork and smooth kwayteow, it was so shiok to eat.
A must order everytime I'm here!
So, so fragrant, this dish of soft-shell crab crusted with oatmeal and butter and fried with curry leaves. Being the greedy glutton I am, I wiped out all the oatmeal crumbs, of course. Eat first, worry later, that's what I always say.
Expensive, but love the cut of beef used for the beef panaeng. Fork tender and so flavourful
Phu Nim Pad Pong Karee. If there's only one thing you MUST order here, it's this deep-fried soft shell crab in a moreish, eggy yellow curry. Perfect with just a plate of jasmine rice. #softshellcrab #curry #spicy #thaifood #narathaisg #sgfood #foodporn #ilovemyjob #burpple
Highlight of our dinner at Nara Thai! Coconut ice cream + 8 condiments to choose from. Sticky rice, nata de coco, peanuts, atap seeds, red rubies, jackfruit, sweet potato and cendol worms! Every dish we ordered was delicious. Waiting for our second serving! 😋 #thai #food #coconut #icecream
Thai iced tea, green curry, pineapple fried rice, pad thai & fish maw soup. The good thing is they dont use MSG!
I love the minced meat with basil leaves!!
My comfort food for rainy day...

Owned by the people behind Soi Thai, Siam Society is a more chic, upscale Thai restaurant with a modern twist. Get the Prawn Cake Balls, which are deep fried, crusty, bite-sized balls of minced prawn meat, paired with sweet chilli dipping sauce. The Crispy Pork Knuckle is marinated for a day in a special aromatic sauce, deep fried, massive, and not for the faint hearted. Do yourself a favour and get the Steamed Seabass in Chilli Lime. The fish is fresh and steamed to perfection, and the gravy... Sour, spicy and salty, this is one feisty fish. With its more relaxed vibe and quiet location in Jalan Riang, Siam Society makes for a nice hideout to chill and have good Thai food.
Let's just say that Joe's has become the Burpple team's absolute favourite Thai restaurant. This humble little Thai kitchen opened by Joe and Jamie in 2006 boasts super flavorful Tom Yum soup that has just the right amount of spice and tang, and big portions of juicy, fragrant pandan chicken for extremely reasonable prices. Order your usual favourites; Joe's does almost anything really well. If you're a fan of Thai Fried Vermicelli, you won't want to miss theirs. Cool down with a glass of Thai Iced Tea, then end off with the Mango Sticky Rice. Albeit a little far at Bukit Merah, it's worth the trip!
