Misstamchiak mentioned this in her roundup of best wanton noodles, and Hed Chef recommended it in an article for Straits Times Food, so it was an easy decision. Also, it was just opposite my gym!
Perhaps because I asked for less spicy, the chilli sauce was weak. Bland even.
But the lean char siew and wantons were flavourful.
And while I asked for extra wantons, it was only $4! Very good value!

Five pieces of stuffed dumplings in the bowl.
A tasty mixture of dark sauce coated the springy egg noodles.
($4)

Of all the wanton mee stalls that are open for breakfast at Haig Road Hawker Centre, the one I like best is "Zhenguang Hollywood Wantan Noodles" at #01-67.
This place is "old school" and that's precisely why they are my top pick. There is no rushing or shortcuts for these folks when it comes to preparing each plate, but the great thing is they are aware they take more time. So for customers' convenience, like on all my previous visits, they will ask you to take a seat and then serve you your order when it's ready.
I like the chilli and the texture of the noodles here - they always arrive already evenly mixed by the hawker. So if you start eating immediately, there's minimal tossing to be done. What's more, their dumplings are very fresh-tasting and well-seasoned. A $3 serving gets you four of them, which I think, is really good value.

Definitely food coma-inducing as with such a portion, you might be caught nodding away during the ungodly hours.

Nonetheless, this plate is as humble as you can get. The egg noodles does not bring any alkaline stench while the chilli mixture which will be carefully tossed with the noodles brings a certain nostalgia and reminisce of the type of wanton noodles you will get back in the days. Char siew was not dry and pretty acceptable for its price. How can we not talk about wanton on wanton noodles? Not mind blowing good but one main factor was that it does not have any foul pork smell that you will get from outside.
