[TANJONG PAGAR, SINGAPORE] Chinese desserts with a twist, @yuenyeung.sg attracts a huge crowd of patrons with their quality desserts, and I must say, they really do live up to the hype.
Their Pistachio Paste 🥣 ($8.60) may seem small, but it's packed full of bold nutty flavours. The pistachio flavour was so aromatic and the roasted pistachio bits added extra texture and umami! That being said, this is a bowl hard to finish alone so it will be good for sharing!
The Taro Paste Rice Mochi & Black Rice with Milk Snow🥛($6.50) is an absolute delight too, as not only it came in a big bowl, it was not too sweet as well! Both the taro paste and black rice paste seem unsweetened, and the milk snow did its work in making this dessert rich and satisfying.
Finally, the Yuen Yeung Longan Coconut Snow 🥥 ($8.60) was my favourite! The coconut flavour was intense yet not too rich. We loved the added coconut shavings that gave it extra texture! However, we don't taste much longan and it can get quite sweet towards the end 😂
Definitely coming back! Do note there's a queue during the weekend and you can expect a half hour wait 😄
